The color is absolutely gorgeous... It's a perfect match for cool undertones and muted shades. I have a cool undertone with a lighter neutral lean, and I really love it. The application is smooth and easy, with no pilling or feathering issues! I picked this up from Maybelline's official site and got a mini concealer and mirror as a bonus, so the value is fantastic. It's a beautiful shade that's worth way more than what you pay for it! (It's the perfect neutral muted pink tone, just like the Laura**** Nudes collection and other muted pink products I love) Since it has a matte finish, if you're using matte lipsticks, you really need to keep your lips well-moisturized for the best application. The staying power isn't the strongest. The scent isn't really my preference. Since I love these kinds of shades, all the lip products I own end up being pretty similar in color, which is a funny problem to have. Matte finish without sacrificing smooth application. Twist-up design makes it super convenient to use. Compact size fits perfectly in even the smallest makeup bag. The application, longevity, and portability are all excellent with nothing to complain about. I'm already repurchasing and using other shades. Perfect as a base with its beautiful nude pink tone. The more red mixed into the pink, the warmer it looks, and honestly some of my gifted lipsticks had a slightly aging effect. So I grabbed this as a base shade to make them work better. Layering shade 699 underneath with 199 on top for a pop of color definitely tones down that effect and I'm really happy with how it looks. It glides on so smoothly over my lips and barely leaves any flaking. The thin, elongated tip makes it perfect for using as a lip liner too. The application is so smooth and creamy, and the color is a truly pale nude pink. I have a cool undertone and light skin, and this doesn't look too stark on me at all—it creates a natural cool-toned base beautifully! When I apply it to the inner part of my lips, it's absolutely perfect, so I find myself reaching for it constantly. It feels like it smooths out lip texture and fills in fine lines. The way it blends gives it such a sophisticated, effortless vibe. There is a bit of transfer, and when it gets dry, it can create a line on the inner lip area, kind of like how yogurt separates. I'd recommend applying a lip balm underneath first!
