Don't worry though—this line continues to sell steadily worldwide and hasn't been discontinued. Here's something interesting: the Maybelline products sold in Korea were actually Japanese shipments with Korean stickers attached. Korea only carried three shades (N10, N20, W20), but Japan offered eight shades, and if you look at European options, there are even lighter and deeper tones available—quite an impressive range! My current skin tone is cool-toned shade 23, so W20, which is warm-toned, doesn't match my undertone perfectly (ordering mistake), but since it's close to shade 23, I'm using it anyway. This product sets incredibly fast. After one pump, you can't spread the entire face with a spatula and then tap with a cushion applicator. Instead, you need to quickly apply one section with the spatula and immediately tap it with the cushion—if you wait, it'll set on its own. Once it sets, even if you sweat, it stays put. Even when you blot away sweat, there's barely any transfer. The formula applies so thinly to the skin that transfer is almost impossible. It adheres to your skin so seamlessly that it feels like a second skin. Unlike skin tints or bare cream products that offer some sheer coverage for color correction, this isn't transparent—it's opaque, so it provides very thin coverage. The finish feels like a matte makeup look mixed with a bare-skin effect. Because this product barely transfers, I apply it to my face, neck, and arms. Even so, nothing rubs off on my clothes. I use a spatula for application. This foundation requires speed—if you try using a brush, it might dry before you finish covering an area. Don't stress if the application looks a bit uneven. Once you've covered the general area, tapping with the cushion applicator will fill in any missed spots. One pump covers one arm. The neck needs about two pumps. After application, I set everything with baby powder for extra staying power. Since Maybelline New York has left the Korean market, you absolutely have to order internationally. But honestly, if you fall in love with this product, the shipping cost is worth it. It's still cheaper than department store foundations anyway. When blotting sweat, use café tissue. I noticed several beauty creators doing this—they use kitchen paper towels or café tissue between makeup applications to remove excess oil from their products. Since I have dry skin, I don't worry about oil, but sweat is a concern for me. I tried using café tissue to blot, and it's amazing—it absorbs the sweat while leaving the makeup completely untouched. I was hesitant to use café tissue from actual cafés due to hygiene concerns, so I ordered my own supply. While kitchen paper towels work fine in a pinch, café tissue absorbs more cleanly and neatly. I checked again—café tissue is definitely the way to go.

This foundation doesn't leave obvious streaks and has impressive staying power. I wouldn't say it applies effortlessly right out of the gate, but once you get it on properly, your base makeup lasts noticeably longer than with other products. Since it doesn't emphasize pores, it's absolutely perfect for me with my visible pores and acne scarring. There are definitely products with better pore-blurring coverage out there, but I keep reaching for this one because it combines great staying power with that coverage. Even though it applies on the sheer side, the coverage is actually really solid. Plus, when it goes on sale, the price becomes incredibly affordable. It has a matte finish and sets quickly, so you can't just apply it all at once in one sweep. You need to work in sections, applying and blending as you go, otherwise you'll get streaks or uneven patches. Mixing it with a primer makes application a bit easier. It does tend to emphasize dry patches and flaking. The adhesion is fantastic and the staying power is absolutely incredible! When I apply it and set it with powder, it lasts even longer. I'm so happy to have finally found a foundation that works perfectly for me! It covers minor blemishes okay, but it doesn't do as well with acne spots unfortunately. If you use a spatula, the setting happens too quickly and doesn't work as well. Honestly, I don't use cushion foundations much and have tried tons of liquid foundations, but finding one this hydrating is seriously hard to come by. What amazes me is there's barely any oxidation, it feels dewy when you apply it, and the wear time is incredible. The fact that it literally sounds like water when you shake it tells you how moisturizing it is - I'm obsessed! The coverage is fantastic, it stays dewy all day, and it's just perfect. The only downside is that since you have to shake it every time, it's a bit inconvenient and your arm gets tired from all that shaking.
