The essence formula applies beautifully with excellent spreadability. It doesn't feel tight or dry, so it blends evenly across the skin. It pairs wonderfully with makeup. The pointed nozzle makes it easy to control the amount even though the texture is lightweight. The fragrance isn't overpowering or bothersome, which I really appreciate since some sunscreens have that unpleasant chemical smell. I don't notice any eye irritation with this one, which is typical for most sunscreens I've tried. Since this is a dewy formula rather than a mattifying type, I do notice the oils start to build up as the day goes on, which is my only real complaint. I've seen that Medifill has a mattifying sunscreen option, so if they released this essence formula with a more powdery finish, it would absolutely be my holy grail product. Apply sunscreen in two layers before heading out. That's the best way to ensure proper protection.

Since there's no white cast, you can apply it generously without worrying about visible residue. The fragrance is quite strong and lingers around your nose even after application. Sunscreen always aims for that dewy finish, and this one truly delivers on its name with a luminous, hydrating formula. The ingredients are fantastic, and it spreads beautifully in a creamy, lightweight layer. It sets with a fresh, non-sticky feel, making it perfect to use before applying makeup. I've been using another essence serum, but I tried this one for the first time today and it really lives up to the "Water Tox" name. For a sun cream, the texture is surprisingly lightweight - it feels just like a serum, you know? Plus it's so hydrating and spreads beautifully on the skin. It absorbs quickly too. There's no white cast, so I think I'll be reaching for this a lot during winter. I can't really tell if it gives a glow, but honestly there's nothing disappointing about it.
