The hydration feels luxuriously moisturizing, and the brightening shade gives such a fresh, radiant glow that I'm really happy with it. It goes beyond just being moisturizing—my hair sticks to my face, and depending on how I prep my skin, it either clings unevenly or separates completely. This sunscreen gives you a natural, subtle brightening effect. Plus, it applies so smoothly! I've tried pretty much everything from Menokine and I love most of their products, but this one is the exception. Some days it blends beautifully and the brightening effect is amazing, but other days it just sits on my skin without absorbing, looks patchy, and feels heavy. It feels wonderfully hydrating, but unfortunately that moisture doesn't help it adhere to the skin the way it should. I'm actually using the hydrating sunscreen from the same line without any real complaints. But the brightening sunscreen? The formula is really disappointing. It makes me feel frustrated with my skin. I do have some visible pores, but even my foundation doesn't cling like this. The formula just won't set properly on my skin at all. Anywhere there's even a hint of texture—my nose, the sides of my face, my chin—it settles right into those spots. I gave it another week or two to see if things would improve, but honestly, on the days I wear it, I get so frustrated looking in the mirror because it just sits on top of my skin instead of blending in. I love wearing just sunscreen without full makeup, and the tone-up effect works nicely The application is terrible. I don't usually write reviews, but this product is so disappointing that I had to share. The formula feels smooth, but no matter how much I pat it in, it just sits on top of my skin instead of absorbing. Even when I use it as a standalone sunscreen, it's like this—I can't imagine layering makeup over it. My pores aren't even large, but the way it emphasizes oiliness is unreal. I even tried applying just essence underneath and using less product to see if that would help, but it made no difference. I've tried it twice and I'm throwing it away.
