It feels like a lip sleeping mask, so I apply it before bed, and I love that it's way more affordable than actual lip sleeping masks! I'm definitely buying this again. If you prefer matte lips, this might not be your thing. But since I love a glossy, dewy lip look, I'm really happy with it! - hy*********Da khôDa nhạy cảmDa mụnDa dị ứngĐược đề xuất05/08/2022 (UTC+0)
My top two lip balms alongside Mentholatum Medicated Lip Gel. This is an intensely hydrating lip balm with a surprisingly lightweight feel. I've already gone through five tubes and I'm on my sixth one, plus I keep four more stocked in my drawer. I need to have backups readily available at all times for peace of mind. About me: I have atopic lips and contact cheilitis, so any lip product that doesn't work for me causes itching, small blisters, and swelling. At its worst, I even developed oozing and crusting around my lips. The itching was genuinely unbearable. Thankfully, my lips look clear now, but this experience made me extremely selective about lip products. I can't go without a lip balm since my lips get dry otherwise. Most dermatological brand lip balms don't work for me either (I tried Uriage and had to stop after three days due to itching and blisters), and natural lip balms with good ingredients often lack sufficient hydration. I discovered this lip balm by chance, and it's been a game-changer. Texture: It's exactly like whipped cream that's been frozen in the fridge—it looks solid on the surface but melts and transforms into a silky texture when you touch it. When my lips were itchy and sensitive, even applying stick-type balms felt irritating, but this one glides on smoothly just from contact. It's not thick or heavy at all; it applies as a thin, oily layer. Packaging: Honestly, with this level of hydration, I'd buy it even if it had a disco ball on the package, but it's actually sleek and cute. I'm not a fan of the Chapstick or Burt's Bees style packaging that develops holes over time, so I appreciated this Nivea-style tube with a long cap. Hydration: What can I say? A thin application is enough for daily use, and multiple layers provide overnight care without needing a lip mask. Even one or two applications easily withstand winter wind and heater combinations. It lasts a long time even without frequent reapplication. The only downside is that because it's not sticky, it wears off easily when you eat. Gentleness: As I mentioned, I'm on my sixth tube with extremely sensitive lips. Of course, skincare is personal for everyone, but if nothing else works for your lips, please try this. Seriously. Scent: Sweet and slightly nutty—it smells like milk and nuts, and the creamy texture makes me want to eat it every time I apply it. As someone who loves gourmand scents, I'm completely satisfied. However, the scent is quite strong, so if you dislike fragrance, go for the unscented version. It wears away too quickly. Given the melting texture, it's unavoidable, but watching the balm disappear feels wasteful. Since it's such a soft formula, it's sensitive to heat, so be careful in summer. Even in winter, don't put it in your long padding pocket with a heat pack, or it'll melt away completely. Not enough people know about this gem. Mentholatum, please invest more in marketing. It's not available at Olive Young or Lotte Beauty, only at Lala Blah, which is frustrating. Japan sells many other scents, so I wish they'd import more varieties. When applied, it creates a glossy shine that's very noticeable. The more you apply, the more visible it becomes. If you're uncomfortable with that shine, choose a different lip balm. Please buy this gem for yourself. Since Lala Blah and online retailers sell it at half price, don't pay full price. Tip for those suffering from cheilitis and atopic lips: When your lips itch, when they're in poor condition, or for nighttime care: Mentholatum Medicated Lip Gel When you need hydration, for convenient daytime application: Mentholatum Melty Lip Cream - fr*********Da khôĐược đề xuất08/12/2021 (UTC+0)
It really lives up to the deep hydration claim. The texture feels incredibly moisturizing while still having that perfect balance of nourishing oils. I'd definitely recommend it. The price point is quite high. It's hard to find in stores since it's not widely available. The scent reminds me of almond candy, which might not be everyone's preference. - du******Da khôDa nhạy cảmDa mụnĐược đề xuất12/11/2021 (UTC+0)
This lip balm is seriously moisturizing and it's the best I've tried. It's the most hydrating lip product I've ever used - it feels like concentrated Vaseline but without being heavy or sticky. I still have quite a bit left. The almond scent is really overpowering, honestly. It has this strong nutty fragrance that's just too much. Other than that, I can't really find anything else to complain about. I'd recommend going for the unscented version if you can. This fragrance just isn't my thing personally.
