I switched to this brand's product! They had a buy-one-get-two promotion, so I grabbed 3 bottles for just 19,000 won. The price was completely different from what I was paying before. Plus, the bottle holds 10ml more than the competitor's version! As someone preparing for civil service exams with no time or budget to splurge on skincare, this is honestly the best bang for your buck. I use it every morning and night after cleansing, followed by a mugwort essence and a touch of energy oil. I haven't noticed a huge difference in results, but it does feel more hydrating than the other brand, though I can't really detect any oiliness. The packaging and performance are surprisingly similar overall. I miss that mugwort scent! This one is basically unscented. Since I'm busy studying for exams and don't really do makeup, I don't apply much to my face anyway. But I'm so confused—why is this one incredibly hydrating while that other one feels so dry? With that product, my face felt so tight I wondered if it was actually lifting my skin or something. But this one? It's just amazingly moisturizing. I'm really impressed! It's quite rich and hydrating, so if you have oily skin, one layer is plenty. If you apply two or three layers, you might see excess oil coming through! Since this formula contains mugwort extract, some people might find the scent off-putting at first. That said, if you take a closer sniff, it smells almost identical to green tea, so you'll likely stop noticing the scent after a few uses. Rather than using a cotton pad to apply it, try dispensing a small amount onto your fingertips and gently patting it onto your cheeks, jawline, the area between your nose and upper lip, forehead, and nose in that order. I have oily and sensitive skin that tends to break out easily when I use the wrong products. My mom ordered this and I decided to give it a try, and I was really impressed! While there's no dramatic visible change, I can personally notice a subtle improvement in my complexion. My mom even mentioned that my skin looks brighter when we talk face-to-face. For reference, I'm a warm tone shade 21 with naturally bright but slightly yellow undertones, which has always been something I'm self-conscious about. Sticking with this product consistently has been such a great decision. The mugwort scent is quite distinctive, and yes, it does have that herbal spa-like aroma. Honestly, it's not my favorite fragrance profile, but if they were to mask it artificially, they'd have to add synthetic fragrances, which would complicate the ingredient formula. I have extremely sensitive skin and this works perfectly for me. I actually got this hair treatment as a gift with purchase, and since my skin is so reactive, most natural beauty products cause me problems. But this one doesn't! The treatment is great, and honestly, I find myself coming back to buy more products from this brand regularly. I wish it came in a pump bottle for easier application. It provides a hydrating sensation without any irritation, and I can really feel the moisture penetrating my skin. For context, I have sensitive, combination skin, and this product doesn't cause any irritation whatsoever. I'm definitely planning to repurchase once I finish this bottle. If I had to mention a drawback, I noticed this even when using their essence before—there's a slightly woody scent to it. That said, the performance is so good that it more than makes up for it. It works wonderfully as an exfoliating toner after cleansing. 1. Clean formula with just 2 key ingredients. The fact that mugwort makes up 98 percent really impressed me! I read somewhere that 100 percent isn't actually realistic, so 98 percent feels way more trustworthy. 2. First essences are usually lightweight, but this mugwort essence is incredibly hydrating. Seriously, just one application tackles my dry patches, and I'm totally happy with it. 3. I'd heard that mugwort has soothing properties, but I wasn't expecting it to work this well. My uneven skin tone has actually calmed down. 4. The subtle mugwort scent is perfect - not overpowering at all, just right. 5. The bottle is generously sized, and compared to other mugwort essences out there, the price feels fair and reasonable. 1. You can only buy it online, which is a bit inconvenient when you need something urgently. 2. It would have been nice if the package included extras like cotton pads or other complementary items. Honestly, there's nothing disappointing about the product itself.
