I'm genuinely shocked at how smudge-proof this eyeliner is. I'm someone who's tried literally every "long-wearing" eyeliner out there, and honestly, they all smudged on me without fail (including the big-name brands). I was already using what I thought was the best option available, but even that would start to fade and run by afternoon. With this one, my liner stayed crisp and defined for a full twelve hours. It's not completely smudge-proof—there's a tiny bit of fading that looks like a soft shadow, but you really have to look closely to notice it. Most people wouldn't even see it. I have to say, I'm baffled that a three-dollar eyeliner performs this well when premium brands still smudge. It honestly makes me question the research and development teams at other cosmetics companies. You'll definitely need a makeup remover to take this off. I've gone through about four of these now and I absolutely love it! The staying power is incredible, and I really appreciate how the formula lets me draw such fine, precise lines. I've had quite a few quality issues with this product. The packaging has been problematic - sometimes the product leaks, the brush gets bent when I'm applying it, and the cap doesn't close properly. These defects seem to happen pretty frequently. The cap is a bit stiff to close. On the bright side, this means the formula stays fresh and doesn't dry out, which is great. One of the best value-for-money finds you can grab at Daiso! The price is super reasonable, and it applies so smoothly. It's also easy to work with, making it perfect for beginners too. I bought this because my regular eyeliner kept fading away. This one applies in such a thin, precise line and doesn't smudge at all - I'm really happy with how it performs! I did end up breaking the cap and had to throw it away, but honestly, if it weren't for that issue, I'd definitely repurchase. Even after long school days when I don't get home until late, the color stays put the entire time. The cap is really fragile. I only use this at home and don't carry it around, but the cap cracked and won't close properly anymore, so the product dried out. When I compared it to other liquid eyeliner pens, I have to say the cap durability is definitely weaker on this one.

Once it dries, rubbing it with your finger barely budges it. I always use an eye primer, by the way. - You can pick it up at Daiso, so it's super convenient and accessible. - I'd tried the original version of this eyeliner before and loved it, so I decided to grab the Daiso version to compare. Honestly, I didn't notice a huge difference between them. For this price point, the quality is really solid—I'll definitely be stocking up on this from Daiso going forward. - The color payoff is vibrant, but it's not an intense, pure black. It's more like black with a hint of dilution, or closer to a deep charcoal shade. If you're going for a bold, dramatic look, it might feel a bit underwhelming. But if you're wearing it for everyday makeup, this softer tone is actually perfect. - It's so popular that the store is often out of stock.
