I bought this for eyebrow tinting and I'm really impressed! The amount is generous and it seems like such a great product. There's nothing really disappointing about it. Hair dyes are pretty much all the same anyway.

The smell is quite strong and overpowering, which makes it challenging to apply on your own. A product I trust and love using! The color payoff is fantastic, and I appreciate that it's always on sale so the price is great. The scent is quite strong and overpowering. I'd definitely recommend this for its subtle, understated shade! The color only shows up in the light, so you can rock it without looking overdone or tacky If I had to pick something, the ash tone doesn't come through as well as I'd hoped. If you're specifically looking for that ash color, you might want to try a different shade instead The protein treatment that comes with it is great for short hair—you can get about 3 to 4 uses out of it!

I love that it comes with a pre-treatment to apply before coloring and a post-color treatment to use after. My hair feels noticeably less damaged thanks to this two-step system. The shade came out a bit different from what I originally imagined, but the color turned out beautifully and I'm quite happy with it overall. Like most hair dyes, this one has a pretty strong smell. The intense odor made my scalp feel tight and uncomfortable during the coloring process, and my hair feels noticeably damaged afterward. I knew this was something to expect with hair dye, so I understand, but it's still disappointing.

Honestly, I'm shocked at how well the color turned out... The dye job came out so much more vivid than I expected that I'm not sure whether to be thrilled or concerned about it, haha. In person, it's actually so much brighter than it looks in photos. The smell is overwhelming and it stings your eyes. I was applying it in the bathroom, but the air purifier in my bedroom started flashing red alerts like crazy. My hair texture, which was fine before, got completely damaged. The color does come out well, but it seems really harsh in exchange. And this isn't even an ash tone like advertised—it's just straight-up orange. The instructions say to use one bottle for short hair, and two or three bottles depending on hair length for everything else. But since I was hoping for just a subtle tint, I used one bottle on my long hair. (Though it ended up being way more intense than expected, obviously.) The thing is, when you use the included applicator brush, one bottle doesn't go very far at all. In that case, I'd recommend putting on gloves and applying small amounts with your hands—you can actually color your whole head with just one bottle that way. I might have been able to do this because I don't have super thick hair, but if you only have one bottle in stock or that's all you bought, I'd suggest giving this method a try.
