My skin gets incredibly dry and tight during winter, but this product seriously boosts the staying power of my makeup. I'm obsessed with it. A YouTuber recommended it, so I first grabbed it from the drugstore, then decided to invest in the larger size because it's that good. The YouTuber applied this first and wiped it with an exfoliating pad, but since my skin is super sensitive, I skip the exfoliating toner altogether. Instead, I apply a regular toner first, then layer on the Mamonde Liquid Mask without wiping it off, and continue with my usual base routine. The glow is absolutely incredible. It's wild how well it works. Even when I apply it before makeup, it instantly smooths away any flakiness, which is amazing. Once I use this, my makeup lasts so much longer and doesn't break down throughout the day. That said, the texture is really not my thing. There's this sticky feeling on my skin that I can't get past. Since I have combination skin, I think I'm just more sensitive to it. Even when I use the tiniest amount, it feels like there's a film coating my skin, you know? That suffocating sensation? At first it feels slippery, but then it gets super sticky when I layer other products. In summer, when I add sunscreen, that heavy feeling kicks in, so honestly I don't use it that often. I only reach for it on days when I really want to focus on my skin's appearance. Also, some people say they break out if they use it every day, so everyone should be careful with this one! The texture goes from slippery to sticky, which feels uncomfortable. It leaves your skin feeling weighed down and suffocated, like there's a barrier sitting on top. Use sparingly. If you have combination skin, this is a must-try! I have really stubborn skin that gets shiny no matter what I apply. Even products like Weleda and Toriden leave me looking dewy, but this one is different! Before applying the cream formula, just use an essence and serum first, then give it a single application. I'm telling you, it's a winter essential! Not recommended for oily skin though. If you have oily or combination skin, it's basically unusable. Instead of feeling hydrated, it makes your skin feel a bit sticky and tacky. That said, I'm still using it because it works well enough for my routine. Just give it a try!
