I've been raving about this mask since before the reformulation, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the new version too!! Honestly, my skin tends to get really heated and inflamed during both summer and winter, which makes my breakouts worse. After cleansing, I apply toner and essence, then use this mask for about an hour and a half. I've tried plenty of gel masks, but leaving them on too long actually makes my breakouts worse, so I stick to around 90 minutes and finish with a cream. What I love is that while other masks only feel cooling during application and then my skin heats back up afterward, this one keeps my skin feeling refreshed even after I take it off! I was using it almost daily during summer because keeping my skin cool really helped reduce breakouts, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Even though it's a collagen mask, if you're buying it purely for the collagen benefits, you might feel a bit disappointed since the cooling effect is really the star of the show here.

The summer heat and humidity have been making my pores feel so open and uncomfortable, but the moment I applied this mask to my skin, I felt an amazing cooling sensation and hydration. The mask has a nice thick texture that feels really reassuring and supportive. As time passes, the gel becomes more transparent! I think this would be perfect for calming irritated skin on those exhausting, hot days. After using the mask, my skin feels incredibly moisturized and has this wonderful bouncy, plump quality to it. I'm definitely going to use this the night before important events because my makeup applies so beautifully the next day thanks to all that hydration my skin is holding onto. I tried the collagen mask for the first time and I absolutely love it! Since it's divided into upper and lower sections, it covers my wide forehead perfectly! It's spacious enough to fit larger face shapes really well. The cooling effect is seriously amazing! I used it before bed after having drinks, and the cool sensation instantly soothed my flushed, irritated skin. I've found that the best way to use the collagen mask is to apply all your skincare first, then wear the mask for 2-3 hours before bed! By the next morning, my skincare absorbs beautifully and my skin has this gorgeous glow to it. Even though I didn't get enough sleep and should look tired, my skin texture looks so refined! When you look at the third photo, using it until it becomes that transparent... it feels like you've gotten every last bit of the mask, and I really love that! Overall, I think this is perfect to use the night before an important day! Since it's collagen-based, it's a bit delicate and tears easily. If you pull too hard, it can rip, so just be careful with how you handle it and you'll be fine. If you apply plenty of skincare underneath and then attach the mask, it absorbs really well and works beautifully!

Compared to other brands, this one takes longer to dry, which means the moisture stays locked in for longer. Since I have oily skin, I usually apply collagen-type masks as overnight treatments to help control excess oil when I wake up. However, I don't think this particular mask is ideal for that purpose. That said, when I use it for the recommended time and follow through with the routine, I do notice real results! I'd suggest using this mask after completing your entire skincare routine to help with absorption rather than as an overnight treatment.
