The red velvet shade has such vibrant color payoff that it's perfect to wear instead of a tint when your lips aren't in the best condition! I'm already on my second one. The moisturizing power isn't anything extraordinary, but since I mainly use it as a tint alternative, it's really not a big deal for me. Oh, and sometimes when there's a bit of flakiness on my lips or leftover tint from before, it does seem to shift slightly, but honestly it's minor.

I haven't tried other shades, only the 03 Red Velvet, but I just picked up the 11 Autumn Rain as well. I have a light complexion with a deep undertone in the 23 shade family, and let me tell you, the color payoff is incredible, it melts away dry patches, it's vegan, and really, what more could you ask for? I heard on Amazon they're selling one every three seconds—there's definitely a reason for that! I'm absolutely obsessed with it. Fair warning though: my lips tend to be quite textured and flaky, so this is saying something. With so many shades available, I really encourage you to find your perfect match and give it a try! When I reapply during the day, I notice a slight clumping around the lip line. I'm not sure if that's just unavoidable, but honestly, it's not a major issue. Other than that, I don't really have any complaints. Since my natural lip color is quite pale and doesn't show up well on its own, I actually use the Melixir Lip Balm as a base and layer other colored lip products on top to create a blurred effect, or I pair it with a tinted lip gloss. The price point is really reasonable, and the color payoff is just right. It's such an easy, no-fuss product to wear every day. If you have dry, flaky lips, you might notice the texture emphasizing those areas a bit. Otherwise, I'm really happy with it. If your lips tend to be on the drier side with visible texture, I'd recommend gently exfoliating before application. I picked this up as a lipstick alternative for winter and I'm really impressed with how well the color shows up! As someone with dry skin, I found the moisturizing power to be pretty much nonexistent. It gets so parched that when I layer it on, the color payoff is great but the dryness is really disappointing. I'm on my third lip balm and here's my honest review~ 1. Application Let's be real, when it comes to lip balm, smooth application is everything, right? Since I deal with dry, flaky lips constantly, I basically live in lip balm. What I love about this one is that it glides on beautifully without feeling sticky or heavy. 2. Color The shade applies exactly as it looks in the tube, which is amazing. I actually use it like a lipstick instead of a watery tint (those tend to emphasize dry patches), and it works perfectly for that. 3. Scent The fragrance is super subtle, almost undetectable really, so there's no love-it-or-hate-it factor. Everyone can enjoy it. The color looked darker in the container, but when I applied it, it turned out to be much more subtle than expected I found this lip balm to feel drier and less moisturizing compared to typical lip balms
