Usually, even when a lip product claims to be moisturizing, it tends to prioritize color payoff, so I often end up with flaky lips as time goes on. But this is a lip balm that actually delivers color! The moisture lasts so long, and the shade is absolutely stunning. The color payoff is just as good as applying a tint, and the hue is so beautiful that I look like someone who expertly applied a tinted lip product. I'm honestly emotional about how good this is! I can't really think of any major drawbacks, but if I had to nitpick, it does feel a bit pricey for a lip balm. That said, I'm so obsessed with the color payoff and the shade itself that when I think about it as buying a moisturizing lip product with excellent color rather than just a lip balm, the price feels totally reasonable. I like to line my lips first with a lip liner, apply this balm, and then soften the edges with the liner again. The result is so gorgeous that I literally tear up. I absolutely love this lip balm. The color range is amazing, and it feels so moisturizing and lightweight without feeling heavy. I've made this my go-to lip butter now. After two months of use (photos taken with iPhone's standard camera) Bottom line: It's perfect for wearing to the office and I've become such a loyal customer that I'm recommending it to everyone around me. Why: It's incredibly moisturizing and the color is absolutely beautiful. (1) Moisturizing quality I'm known for having chronically dry lips—I literally can't leave the house without Vaseline. If I forget it, I have to rush out and buy some because my lips get so parched. I've tried other lip balms and nothing works for me. No matter what I apply, my lips crack and flake. I normally don't wear any lip products like lipstick, tint, or gloss, but someone recommended this to me so I gave it a try. I loved it so much that I ended up buying three in different shades. I keep one at home, one in my bag, and one at the office. (2) Dirty Pink shade review This is definitely a cool-toned color. It's a bit bright for cool undertones, but if you layer a red lipstick over it, it looks perfect. When I'm heading to the office, I apply it lightly and it looks great—honestly, the dirty pink shade might actually be the better choice for that. Downsides: Honestly, there aren't any. This product has been a game-changer for me. I'm constantly recommending it to people around me and I frequently give it as a gift. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that when you first use it, the product has a slight indent in the center, which makes it a bit tricky to apply. Overall thoughts It works great on its own. But when you first start using it, you might think, "Hmm, the color payoff isn't that great." The trick is to apply it like you're stamping it on. The color payoff is amazing! You get instant color from just one swipe. The shade is a true cool-toned pink that's perfect for my undertone, and I love that it has the smooth, balmy texture of a lip balm while still delivering that gorgeous color.
