After two months of use (photos taken with iPhone's standard camera) Bottom line: This cool-toned shade is absolutely perfect, but I wish more people knew about it. I have no idea how they managed to create this color in a lip balm formula. Think deep grape-red. You don't need any other lipsticks or tints—this works beautifully on its own. (1) Hydration and smoothness: My lips are naturally very dry, and I literally can't leave the house without Vaseline. Other lip balms don't work for me at all—they always leave my lips flaky and rough, and I end up constantly licking my lips before eventually running out to buy more Vaseline. But with this? I only carry this one product. It's so convenient. It's basically a lipstick and moisturizer combined in one. (2) Color: I'm obsessed. While it's labeled as a cool-toned lip balm, so many products claim that but have this weird orange undertone. This one is genuinely cool through and through. It's a red with purple undertones, so it applies effortlessly and looks great all day. I was actually curious about the other shades, so I bought a few more, but for cool undertones, this color is definitely the best choice.
Downsides: Honestly, there aren't any. This product has been a game-changer for me. I recommend it constantly to everyone around me and frequently give it as a gift. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that when you first use it, the product is slightly indented, which makes application a bit tricky.
Final thoughts: It works great on its own. Though when you first try it, you might think, "Hmm, the color payoff isn't that great." Just apply it like you're drawing on your lips, and keep using it. After a while, you'll notice the color develops and looks even better.
