The scent reminds me of the previous black bottle version - it has that green tea fragrance vibe, similar to an Elizabeth perfume. This version is much lighter and absorbs faster than the original, plus it's less oily overall. The formula is incredibly lightweight and flows like water, but it's still an oil! The biggest advantage is that it doesn't leave your hair feeling heavy or clumpy, and it spreads so smoothly. With its citrusy scent and lightweight texture, it feels like a men's product, but I kept using it consistently. When I apply it to my bangs, it feels silky and doesn't create that stiff, clumpy feeling at all. However, for my stubborn, frizzy ends, this alone wasn't quite enough to do the job. I think anyone who dislikes heavy formulas would really love this, but for me, it was almost too light—it didn't give my hair the conditioning boost I was hoping for. This essence is absolutely perfect for men to use. It's not sticky at all, feels lightweight, and absorbs beautifully into the skin. The downside is that the results aren't as dramatic as you might hope. This product is absolutely amazing! I apply it to my hair before blow-drying, and then again on the ends once my hair is completely dry. The results are incredible - my hair feels so smooth and healthy. The best part is that it doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy or weighed down at all. I'm totally recommending this to everyone! The scent is absolutely wonderful too. I honestly can't think of anything I don't love about this product. I'm genuinely stumped trying to find a downside! Once I finish this bottle, I'm definitely buying the exact same product again.
