Even though I have combination skin, I typically only cleanse with oil and rarely experience breakouts, but I was honestly hesitant about this product. I'm not usually a fan of heavy cleansing oils based on my preferences, but I was so impressed by how well it removes makeup that I decided to stick with it. Once I got used to the texture, I actually love how smooth and creamy it feels. The formula is gentle and doesn't feel irritating at all. Since it's made with plant-based oils, the emulsification process works beautifully. For oily skin types, using it as a massage oil feels too heavy and burdensome. Make sure to shake the bottle thoroughly before each use. The shine completely disappears and my skin feels so smooth and soft! It's absolutely amazing for combination skin. I stopped using it for a bit just to test, and wow, the oil and flaking really came back with a vengeance. This is honestly a staple product for me. I stick with this brand exclusively because it works so well! It's such a favorite that there's really nothing to complain about. I thought cleansing oil was absolutely off-limits for acne-prone skin (for context, I have more comedones and barely any inflamed breakouts), so I've only been using cleansing foam all this time. But since winter made my skin so dry, I really wanted to try a cleansing oil, so I called customer service to ask about it. The representative also has acne and sensitive skin, and they kindly explained everything using their own experience as an example. They reassured me that I shouldn't completely avoid oils and that it would be fine. Plus, since it's made with natural oils, I felt confident enough to try the sample before purchasing. My skin is dehydrated and oily at the same time, and at first it felt a bit heavy, but it wasn't drying at all and felt just right, so I bought it. That said, I think it might feel a little too rich in summer, but I could probably switch to a lighter rice bran oil for that. Some people mentioned the scent bothered them, but unless you're extremely sensitive to fragrance, it's totally fine. It has a lemon or orange-like scent. It removes makeup really well and leaves your skin feeling refreshed. Oh, and I'm not sure if it's because of this product or the tamanu oil I ordered at the same time, but my comedones have definitely decreased and I've realized how truly important oil-water balance is for skin! I used to focus mainly on hydration because of my acne, but after using oil, my skin has improved so much compared to before! Bottom line: this product is solid and reliable! I have sensitive skin and this cleanser is wonderful because it removes makeup and impurities without any irritation. The scent is lovely and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. I really love how this cleanser has a fresh yet sweet fragrance that feels completely natural and not artificial. When I used mid-range cleansing oils from other brands, they had such an overpowering and synthetic scent from artificial fragrances that I wasn't a fan. This product is so much better in that regard. Plus, when you look at the ingredient list, there are barely any harsh chemicals. Other mid-range cleansing oils are loaded with chemical ingredients listed right at the top, which makes me feel like I need to rush through cleansing and rinse it off quickly to protect my skin. But this one? The formula is 82% natural oils, and the only questionable ingredient is olive oil PEG ester for cleansing purposes. That's it! So when I apply it to my face, there's no worry or heaviness, and my skin actually feels better. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this product. I've been using the same brand Meirose cleansing water and decided to repurchase it, plus I grabbed the apricot seed product too. At first, I was worried since it's oil-based and thought it might not remove makeup well or leave a greasy feeling. But it actually does a great job removing sunscreen and eyebrow makeup. When I mix it with my yeast mask and use it as a gentle scrub, it's incredibly soothing with no irritation at all. I love that I can use it with such a fresh, uplifting scent. It's really wonderful! Hmm, nothing special really. Even at this affordable price point, I wish the brand would offer a larger size for consumers like me. I guess I'm being a bit greedy, but that's what I'd love to see!
