I thought Red 227 wasn't working for me, but honestly, sometimes it does! The thing is, I can't pinpoint exactly which ingredient is causing the issue. So I've had to resort to the buy-and-test approach to figure things out. This lipstick, though—I remember the color being absolutely gorgeous. I grabbed it during a sale too, so the price was really reasonable. The only downside is that some ingredient didn't agree with my lips, and I started experiencing flaking and itching, so I had to stop using it. In an era dominated by tints, finding a classic lipstick formula like this is such a treat! The value for money is absolutely unbeatable. The color is gorgeous and it applies so smoothly. You can even adjust the intensity to your liking. I'm really impressed with how refined and sophisticated the packaging looks too. While it has a satin finish, it doesn't feel moisturizing enough, so I noticed some dryness. It's been so hard to find a satin lipstick lately, so I was really happy to finally discover one with that gorgeous satin finish again! The case isn't as sturdy as I'd like it to be, which is a bit disappointing, but since the price is reasonable, I can live with it.
