The foam formula is so convenient because it doesn't drip or run when you apply it to your scalp The smell and ingredients are concerning. Most importantly, after applying it to my hair, it hardens up stiff like you've sprayed hairspray on it. I used it exactly as directed, but I'm not sure if this is normal. I thought I couldn't wear it outside, but after about five days of use, my scalp became so irritated that I had to see a doctor. This spray-and-dry formula is super convenient, just like an air-dry spray. I've been using the trial kit with the shampoo, conditioner, and treatment together for about two weeks now, and I've noticed significantly less hair shedding. I'm disappointed with Wella's approach to fragrance—most of their products have pretty strong scents, and this finishing product is no exception. The smell is really not my favorite. I know it fades once your hair dries and I apply separate hair oil anyway, so it's not a dealbreaker, but the scent could definitely be better. The packaging says it's a 30-day supply, but even if I'm careful with it, I think it'll run out in about 21 days. The amount you get is honestly a bit small for the price. Using the complete set consistently has made a real difference for me. If you just spray and leave it, the roots can look flat and clumpy, so make sure to spray and gently work it through. Finish with cool air from your blow dryer to properly dry your scalp—that's the key to getting the best results.
