My complexion was looking dull and tired, so I started using this because it's supposed to have brightening benefits with its gentle acidic formula. I've noticed a subtle brightening effect that's really nice. I loved that this cleanser has brightening properties, but I have to be honest - it's not ideal if you have sensitive skin. Since my face is prone to irritation, I found myself getting some bumpy texture, which was disappointing. I don't really have any special tips to share.

I've always believed that proper cleansing should be done with foam rather than rubbing your face directly with your hands, and this product is absolutely perfect for that method. I really recommend it! Since there's so much price competition out there these days, this product does come with a higher price tag. I've used three bottles over about two years while trying other products too. I really appreciate how generous the size is, and it cleanses with that satisfying squeaky-clean feeling you get from quality cleansers. What surprised me most is that even though my skin tends to be dry, this didn't leave it feeling parched like I expected. The scent is pretty neutral too, so it works for most people. I bought this because of the brightening name on the label, but after two years of use, I haven't seen any real brightening results. That's honestly my biggest disappointment with it. The skin feels incredibly smooth and silky. No irritation whatsoever, and I'm really happy with it. It's reliable and does exactly what it promises. There's nothing disappointing about it. Neutrogena's reliable cleanser really does the job. It cleanses effectively and maintains a gentle, slightly acidic pH that's kind to skin. Don't expect it to work wonders on acne. It's just a basic cleanser, and I'm honestly not sure if it actually brightens your complexion.

The cleansing power was excellent, and I really appreciated the subtle fragrance. It felt great to use. Around day 2 of using this, I started experiencing breakouts that I'd never had in my 26 years of life. My skin is quite sensitive and reacts to even the smallest environmental changes. I have a fair complexion with a tendency toward redness, and I experience breakouts when the weather shifts or I'm feeling tired. My skin barrier is fragile—if I skip my hydration routine for just a few days, my skin becomes dry and reactive. I picked up this foam cleanser from my mom's place, and honestly, I was surprised it works so well for my skin! I've been using it for three weeks now, and I'm realizing that the surfactants in this formula don't irritate my sensitive skin the way others do. While it hasn't dramatically transformed my complexion, the fact that it keeps my skin stable and balanced is enough for me to give it a solid 4 stars. The packaging is convenient, the amount you get is generous, and the price is really fair. I wish this product didn't have fragrance in it. While the scent isn't particularly bothersome, I don't see the point of adding fragrance to a rinse-off cleanser. It just seems unnecessary. I'm using this as my second cleanse! This gentle, mild acidic cleansing foam is reliably solid and does the job well. For a pH-balanced foam cleanser, it actually produces a nice amount of lather. I've been using this foam cleanser consistently, and while my skin does seem clearer, I honestly can't say for certain if it's making a real difference. What I do know is that I wake up with quite a bit of excess oil, so I always need to cleanse again in the morning with either this foam cleanser or a cleansing gel. That's where this product really shines. It's also fantastic for rinsing away that oily residue left behind after oil cleansing. Because it's a gentle, pH-balanced cleansing foam, the cleansing power isn't exceptionally strong.

I've been using it for 3 days now. I used to use a slightly acidic product from another brand, but it left my skin feeling so tight and uncomfortable that I decided to try something different. My skin is combination - oily in my T-zone, between my nose and chin, and around my jaw, but dry on my cheeks. Since I'm still young, my skin is quite sensitive and reactive, so I was hesitant to try just anything. So far, so good though. With stress and wearing masks due to the pandemic, I tend to get breakouts frequently. I also struggle with flaking, enlarged pores around my nose, and blackheads, so I use an exfoliating treatment and blackhead removal mask after cleansing. Arrow The foam lathers beautifully and feels rich and creamy, which I really love. Arrow I absolutely hate that tight, dry feeling after cleansing, and I didn't experience that at all. My T-zone is oily, but my cheeks are severely dry - even the slightest tightness is uncomfortable and causes flaking and cracking. This product didn't feel overly moisturizing, but I appreciated the balanced, slightly squeaky-clean feeling without any pulling. Arrow As for cleansing power, I usually use just a foam cleanser to remove my makeup. Since I wear waterproof products, I can't always tell if the foam cleanser alone removes everything, so I usually pre-cleanse with a cleansing water or makeup remover wipes when I'm lazy, then use this product. It seems fine, but since I'm mostly using it after already removing most of my makeup, I can't say for certain how effective it is on its own. Arrow I have a deep skin tone and cool undertones, but my skin looks even darker, which means cool-toned makeup doesn't show up as well on me (and warm-toned makeup just looks off). Because my skin is dark, people around me suggested that brightening my skin tone would help cool-toned makeup look better. That's why I'm using this tone-up brightening product. To see clear results, I'm not using any other whitening or brightening products. After 3 days, I don't see a huge difference, but my complexion does look a bit brighter. Right after cleansing, it seems to look lighter for a moment. Since whitening results take consistent use, I'll keep trying it a bit longer. (Honestly, I was drawn to it because it's marketed as a brightening product.) Arrow I haven't experienced any breakouts or acne from this product yet. But please note this is just my experience - I can't speak for everyone else. For me personally, it's been fine. Today is Thursday, January 13, 2022 - exactly one week of use. Please check the photos I've attached. I had breakouts and red skin, but neither has gotten worse or better. That said, I've been using other products too, and my breakouts have actually improved a lot. I haven't properly tested it for makeup removal yet, but from what I can see, since it's slightly acidic, I suspect it has weaker cleansing power compared to other products. Also, I'm disappointed with the ingredient list. This isn't really a tip, but here's how I use it: 1. Cleanse with this product. 2. Remove excess water, then exfoliate. 3. Rinse with water, remove excess water, then apply a blackhead removal mask. 4. Rinse with water again, then do your skincare routine. (I personally use a cotton pad with toner or essence to gently wipe my skin, then finish by applying treatment essence or emulsion to problem areas.) Arrow If you have flaking or blackheads, experience tightness after cleansing, have combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks, or deal with breakouts, this routine might work well for you too.
