I was curious about this soap, so I picked it up since I like using soap whenever my body and face need a good cleanse. When I lather it up, I notice the soap's surface gets a bit tacky and stretchy, which is really interesting. Because of that texture, it feels like it lifts away dirt and impurities so much better than the handmade soaps I've used before. After washing, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. Plus, compared to my usual handmade soaps, this one holds up better and lasts longer since it doesn't get mushy as quickly. I'm definitely planning to repurchase and I'm keeping an eye out for any sales! I was already a fan of the Nightingale Cica Serum, so I decided to try their cleansing bar. It's incredibly gentle with zero irritation, making it perfect for a second cleanse. I was hoping for powerful cleansing action from this bar, but honestly it's just okay. It cleans a bit better than regular soap, but nothing to write home about.

The onion extract gives it a slightly sticky and slippery texture, but the lather itself feels like a normal soap foam. When I massage it on my face, it doesn't feel irritating and there's no greasy residue left behind. It has no fragrance and isn't overly soft. I picked it up for summer oil control, and it works great. Even though it cleanses with that squeaky feel, thanks to the onion extract, it doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry. I guess it's unavoidable that oil comes back by evening even after cleansing. I'm using it alongside a gentle acidic foam cleanser. When I first used it, the skin around my cheekbones felt a bit tender, almost like it was peeling, but I'm not sure if I accidentally scratched it while it was in that squeaky state. I still can't figure out what caused it. It's not an extremely drying product or anything, so I'm continuing to use it, figuring it was just a skin condition thing. Because of the product's ingredient nature, it tends to leave a sticky residue on the bottom when placed on a soap dish, so I've started storing it suspended in the air and it dries really well that way.

I love how versatile it is - I use it as a secondary cleanser, and it also works wonderfully as a wash-off mask. The multiple uses make it such a great value. After using it during summer, even though I have combination skin, my skin became extremely dry.

While I do need to use a makeup remover for eye makeup and other detailed areas, this cleanser does a great job washing away my regular face makeup. This is my first time using a cleansing bar, and I really appreciate that it comes without packaging—it feels so eco-friendly! If you're not someone who typically uses soap products, you'll want to invest in a mesh holder or soap dish to store your cleansing bar after use. While it doesn't seem like it'll break down easily, you'll need to be mindful about keeping it dry if you want it to last longer. Right after cleansing, before any dryness sets in, keep an essence or hydrating serum nearby and apply it immediately. This way, your skin stays beautifully moisturized throughout your routine.

I can tell it won't crumble or break down easily. What I love most about using this Cetaphil soap is that it delivers a deep cleanse with this pack. The soft, silky lather feels so smooth when I wash my face, and I really appreciate that it doesn't feel harsh or irritating at all. I mainly use this Cetaphil soap for gentle cleansing, and because it's so mild, I find myself reaching for it quite often. It does cleanse very thoroughly, so depending on your skin type, you might feel a bit of tightness or dryness after using it. That said, while you're actually washing your face, the lather feels really hydrating and silky smooth, which is nice.
