Why I bought it: I usually carry Makeup Forever powder in my bag, but since it's summer, my nose and forehead get shiny every time I look in the mirror. I needed something better than blotting papers to control the oil, so I decided to try this. 2. I was worried it might cause breakouts, but after using it for about 5 days (2-3 times during the day), I haven't noticed any irritation or adverse reactions. 3. When I apply it, my skin looks fresh and matte like I've used blotting papers, but it's more effective and gives a noticeably smoother, more refined finish than papers alone. 4. It's compact and super convenient to carry around. 5. When it goes on sale, the value for money is really great. 1. Like all powder compacts, the sponge applicator picks up makeup residue, which doesn't look very hygienic. I think I'll need to replace it regularly. 2. The powder doesn't distribute evenly every time, so if I tap it too hard or apply it in a rush, it can clump on my face.

The particles are so fine and refined. It really helps control that unwanted shine and keeps everything looking matte. The container doesn't have enough holes, so when you use the included puff applicator, the areas where too much powder builds up can clump and look patchy. I think it would work so much better if this came as a pressed powder instead. Just a heads up—apply this before getting dressed, especially if you're wearing dark clothing, since the powder can transfer. You might want to transfer some of this to a separate container or palette and use a NBR foam puff applicator instead for the best application.

The powder has such a smooth texture, and it covers my pores beautifully. My complexion looks so radiant and glowing, and it seems to work perfectly for my skin tone. I'm really happy with this product. I switched from using a compact powder to this loose powder formula, and I do notice a bit of powder fallout during application. It's not a major issue, but it's something to be aware of.
