I don't wear much makeup, so I'm not entirely sure how well it removes makeup, but it seems pretty decent! It works great as an everyday cleansing oil for me. I'm not sure what people mean about oil control or sebum removal, honestly. The same goes for blackhead removal. The scent isn't pleasant either. I always make sure to use a cleansing oil followed by a cleansing foam!
