This shampoo is perfect for summer if you have oily hair. It really helps control excess oil and grease, leaving your hair feeling fresh and balanced. I wouldn't recommend this for color-treated or bleached hair. While it's a gentle, pH-balanced shampoo, it feels a bit weak for those hair types. The scent isn't particularly appealing either. I wanted to buy a large-size shampoo, so I tested out a few different products available on the market to see which one I liked best. Important note: I have chronic sinusitis. Hair condition: Frizzy to moderately frizzy Color treatment history: Frequently dyed blue-black in my teens, then shifted to reddish-brown tones in my twenties, followed by three rounds of self-bleaching and then self-dyed pink Hair concerns: Dry, straw-like texture plus my hair gets frizzy and unruly no matter how carefully I dry it. It only settles down by the next day Scalp condition: Unknown. I'm not sure if my scalp is dry, oily, or combination. Scalp concerns: Itching, odor at the crown, flaking, and hair loss The color is almost like a treatment product. What I loved: 1. Large capacity means I can use it generously without worrying about running out in two to three months, unlike other shampoos where you're left with an awkward amount. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars 2. Great lather. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars 3. A subtle argan scent that feels like you're in nature (okay, I'm exaggerating a bit). Rating: 4 out of 5 stars I appreciate that it's not overpowering. Of course, how it smells might vary depending on your natural body chemistry, but it has that fresh salon-quality shampoo scent you'd get from nature itself. You have to really bury your nose in it to catch the fragrance. 4. Even with a quick wash, the scalp cleansing power is impressive, and my itching was noticeably reduced. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Personally, the results lasted up to three days for me. (I have poor circulation and cold extremities, so my scalp doesn't retain much heat.) 5. When I tested it on my hands, there was a slight lingering moisture. Rating: 3 out of 5 stars That said, it probably depends on what hand cleanser you use, but the fragrance seemed to linger like a subtle aftertaste at about 10 percent, and the moisture quickly transformed into softness. Not recommended if you're looking for a shampoo with long-lasting fragrance. The scent starts with a grassy note, then shifts to something that feels like what you'd find at a neighborhood salon. Honestly, the fragrance smells great when you first squeeze it out, but it fades quickly once you start washing. Important note: This shampoo makes hair feel stiff and rigid, while also being calming for the scalp. You really need to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner or rinse. When I use this, my hair feels like all the moisture has been stripped away. Without the conditioner, I worry it would feel dry and straw-like. It's quite peculiar, honestly. I think this would work really well combined with a scalp massage. The thorough, detailed cleansing action—that satisfying scrubbing sensation—really gets into every corner and crevice, which feels fantastic.

The lather is nice and foamy, which is exactly what you want. I notice there's a bit of residual oiliness, probably because of the argan oil in the formula. Honestly, for the price point at Olive Young, this is one of the best products you can get. I used this as a pre-shampoo treatment and then followed up with Ravo H shampoo. I've been using Ravo H without any issues before, so I know their products work well for me. But after using this pre-shampoo, my scalp started itching like crazy around evening time. I'm not talking about a little itch here and there, it felt like something was crawling on my scalp. The cleansing power is fantastic! The formula has a lightweight texture that feels really nice. It does an amazing job cleansing the scalp, and I love that squeaky-clean feeling it leaves behind. Even though my long hair has waves, it feels incredibly moisturized and soft. The scent is so comforting and fresh too! The scent is absolutely lovely and you get so much product. I find myself constantly enjoying the wonderful fragrance in my hair throughout the day. My scalp was already on the dry side, but this made it even drier and itchy. I caught myself scratching my head without even realizing it. I don't think I can keep using this. I can use this on its own without my hair feeling dry and straw-like. The generous size for the price point means I'll be using this for quite a while! Since I've only used it once, it's hard to say for sure. The fragrance is quite strong, so it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

The size is generous for the price, and it's perfect for the whole family to use together. But here's the thing... it's way too stiff and heavy. Even during the rinse-out phase after shampooing, it feels so rigid and uncomfortable. I definitely won't be repurchasing this next time.
