There are so many hair product brands out there, but this curl cream was the only option I could find at Olive Young. Sure, direct imports from the US are easier these days and I can use American products within days, but since this was created by one of Korea's most respected hair designers, I wanted to support a domestic product. I naturally have very frizzy, unruly hair, and after getting a straight perm six months ago, I just got a big chop for a short cut. Whenever I go to the salon, stylists always say they can fix frizzy hair nine times out of ten, but honestly, I love my natural texture just the way it is. Other people actually pay good money for perms to get that wavy, textured look, and I have it naturally. This curl cream helps me care for my hair so I can embrace and appreciate myself exactly as I am. The scent isn't childish at all—I really love it. It's subtle and doesn't overpower, the shine is beautiful, and the hold is fantastic. I see some reviews below saying the hold only lasts a day, which is disappointing, but I'd just remind everyone to keep your scalp healthy by washing your hair regularly. This product is absolutely blameless, haha! Nothing to complain about. I'm very satisfied. This really does hold curls beautifully! I got it as a gift for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves it. She says she's been getting compliments on how great her waves look. It applies beautifully and the scent is lovely. It keeps my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized throughout the day. The scent is subtle and lovely. After applying it, my curls look absolutely beautiful and don't feel stiff or overly rigid, which I really appreciate. Since it has a cream formula, it's so easy and convenient to apply. I tried pumping the recommended amount directly onto my hair, but the area where I pumped it became too stiff, which was disappointing. Plus, I thought the hold would last longer, but it only seems to hold up for about a day or so. I found that squeezing it into my palm, rubbing it between my hands first, and then applying it to my hair works so much better.
