I have really sensitive skin that gets irritated and red from sun exposure, so I've been relying on prescription emulsions from my dermatologist. But I was in a pinch before my graduation photos, so I applied this the night before and honestly, my skin calmed down completely overnight! I was genuinely shocked at how well it worked. This is actually amazing for soothing and calming skin, but it does leave a bit of a film or greasy layer on top, which isn't ideal if you have oily skin. I've been using this product and I have to say, when I first applied it, it felt a bit like spreading on a thick paste. It goes on really white, and I was wondering if it would actually absorb, but then it just melts right in! I'd recommend using it at night rather than during the day. It's super creamy but not lightweight—it definitely has a heavier feel to it. But that richness is exactly what makes it so moisturizing and nourishing. For seasons like fall transitions or cold winters, I think it would be great to use in the morning too. I have sensitive skin, so I was looking for something beyond just dermatologist creams, and this product came highly recommended, so I decided to try it. I'm really happy with it! My face does get a bit shiny, but it's not overly oily, and it gives my skin a really balanced, calm feeling. The ingredients are so well-known that I feel confident using it without worry. The only thing is, it can be a bit heavy under makeup, so I make sure to apply just a thin layer before doing my makeup. If you use too much product, you might wake up with little bumps the next day. That's why you need to apply it thinly. Even with a modest amount, it gives plenty of hydration, so I'd recommend sticking to the suggested amount. You know those days when your skin gets red or feels extra sensitive? I used this as part of my nighttime routine with a basic serum, and it worked wonderfully. Rather than using it every day, I find it's most helpful to apply it on those sensitive skin days. I'd definitely recommend it for those times when your skin needs extra care.

My skin has always been sensitive, and when my skin barrier broke down and became thinner, my face would turn red quickly and feel dry and tight, which was really frustrating. But this product has made a huge difference. The texture is quite rich and nourishing with plenty of oils, so when I finish my routine with this cream, my skin stays hydrated and feels dewy throughout the day. It doesn't contain pore-clogging ingredients, and I haven't experienced any breakouts so far. The finish can feel quite oily, so if you apply it at night before bed, you might find it feels heavy and uncomfortable. If you have oily skin, I'd recommend using just a small amount or applying it only to specific areas that need it. Also, the cap and opening tend to get dirty quickly. Even if I wipe everything clean before storing it, the product inside hardens over time and makes the opening and cap look messy. I wish the design of the cap and opening could be improved. When there's still plenty of product left, I recommend storing it with the cap facing upward! Since the oils don't evaporate quickly, if you apply it at night before sleep, it's a good idea to place a clean towel on your pillow to protect it from getting on your bedding.

But if you apply a matte serum or ampoule underneath, the cream applies with a thick, rich consistency. Since I have dry skin, I always use an oil-based ampoule, so it spreads beautifully without any white cast or pilling, and the application is really smooth. Right after application, it feels slightly sticky and suffocating with a thick texture, but the real issue is what happens after it absorbs. It becomes matte and dry, almost like the product hardens on your skin, and you start feeling dryness pretty quickly after applying it. The formula is honestly confusing because it seems too dry for people with dry skin, and it might feel heavy and uncomfortable for those with oily skin. I'm not really sure which skin type would actually benefit from this product. I purchased this in summer and have been applying it morning and evening through August. I've always been let down by Physiogel products, but after my skin barrier was compromised from over-exfoliation, I bought this as a last resort. On my days off, I stayed home and applied the cream every 30 minutes or so. The redness calmed down, and after a few days, my skin started looking like healthy skin again. I always check the ingredient list on Physiogel products and choose ones with minimal pore-clogging ingredients. The one-touch cap is convenient to use, but the opening design means it always gets messy. While it does help rebuild the skin barrier, the formula feels heavy and tends to make oil production worse. If you use too much, your skin feels suffocated. This is a cream that causes beads of sweat to form on the skin. It might feel heavy during summer, but if you dispense a small amount onto the back of your hand, spread it thinly, and gently tap it onto your face, you can apply it lightly. After my vacation, my skin felt rough and damaged from all that sun exposure, so I decided to give this a try. Even though I have combination skin, the cream formula isn't heavy or suffocating at all. What really impressed me is how quickly it absorbs and how gentle it is on my skin. When I used it together with the essence that came in the set, the soothing effect was even more noticeable. My skin feels so much calmer and more comfortable now. The price point is quite high.
