I've been using this product for about 11 days since receiving it. # My skin type is combination - my T-zone tends to get oily and shiny, while the rest of my face is quite dry. Plus, my skin is extremely sensitive. Even products that worked perfectly fine this morning suddenly cause reactions, and when I try new products, about 70% of the time my skin rejects them, goes through irregular cycles, and flares up. I have ultra-reactive skin. # Because my skin is so sensitive, I'm careful about which foam cleansers I use. Since my skin kept rejecting products I'd been using for a long time, I quickly grabbed a botanical cleanser from the beauty store. For cleansing, I just look for something that doesn't cause breakouts, cleanses adequately, and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. I was about to switch when I won this product through the testing panel! # Scent: My nose might not be the best at detecting smells, so I can usually tolerate most fragrances. But I do notice and instinctively avoid those distinctive natural scents like mugwort or cucumber that can be off-putting. So when I first applied for this product, I was a bit worried... but the conclusion is that the mugwort scent is barely noticeable! Even though my nose isn't sensitive, people who really dislike mugwort scent won't even pick up on it! # Texture: I can't be completely accurate since I'm comparing it to a cleanser I used years ago and the botanical one I was using before. But this one is noticeably softer than other cleansers. The botanical product was so stiff that it wouldn't spread on wet hands, so I always had to add water. My previous cleanser also needed water added when my hands were damp. This product is so lightweight that it spreads even on dry hands. It's not like a gel that runs everywhere the second you squeeze it out, but it has enough moisture that you can use it without adding water. I was actually shocked the first time because I instinctively added water out of habit and it became way too thin! # Tightness: I don't wear makeup and mostly just apply sunscreen, so I don't focus much on deep cleansing power. I haven't used products that strip everything clean, and since my previous product emphasized hydration, I did feel a slight tightness when I first used this. My cheeks get extremely dry and flaky every fall, and since most of my usage period has been in cooler weather, I'm already starting to see signs of that. I probably wouldn't have noticed any tightness if it were summer. On the second use, I didn't feel any tightness at all. I did use my previous cleanser once in the middle because I was worried about breakouts after being too rough with my skin, and I noticed it felt a bit slippery in comparison, which made me think this one might feel a bit drying during winter when skin goes through its chaos. # Amount: Honestly, when I applied, I only looked at the ingredients, scent, and packaging, not the size, so I thought it would be small. But it's huge! I was surprised it's bigger than my previous product. It's probably one of the largest foam cleansers I've ever used! Even though the texture is soft, the container is designed so it doesn't dispense excessively, so it should last a long time. # Breakouts: The most important factor! I specifically chose this for the mugwort's skin-calming benefits, but my skin did show a slight reaction at first. By day 2, I got about three pimples around my cheeks and cheekbones, but fortunately, the ingredients seem to work well for me because only those appeared and no more breakouts came after that. Since more than half of new skincare products cause some initial reaction when I first use them, I'm just accepting it and continuing to use this. While it doesn't immediately calm breakouts that have already appeared, it does seem to really soothe my skin when it suddenly gets irritated. There's really nothing bad about it. It does seem to produce slightly less foam than what I used before, but it still cleanses well so it's fine. The amount is generous, it cleanses effectively, and so far no breakouts. Overall Performance Since the product description emphasized its ability to calm and soothe skin by controlling excess oil, I've been using it even on days when I'm not wearing makeup. My T-zone, which is usually quite oily, definitely feels more mattified and refreshed after cleansing. I've only been using it for about a week, so I can't yet say whether it's reducing my skin's natural oil production long-term. I'll continue observing and update my thoughts as I use it more. Areas like my cheeks outside the T-zone did feel a bit tight after cleansing. During my time using this product, I experienced some inflamed breakouts, and the product did cause a bit of irritation. That said, the irritation wasn't severe enough to make me stop using it.

That said, when I use it frequently, I do notice a slight cucumber note coming through. I wasn't able to use it for a couple of days since I was away, and it was stored in a humid bathroom, so the scent got a bit muddled. The texture is creamy and has a rich, substantial feel with a soothing quality to it. The lather isn't super dense, but it applies smoothly and gently. My skin is combination, leaning toward oily, and after using this, I don't feel that tight, squeaky-clean sensation you get with other slightly acidic cleansing foams. During summer, my face gets really oily, and even without makeup, regular cleansing foams can feel heavy and suffocating. This product has a generous lather that's not overly dense, and after cleansing, my skin feels light and refreshed! In winter, my skin tends to feel tight after cleansing, so I'm a bit concerned this might be too drying for late fall and winter use. I typically use cleansing foam as a second cleanse or for my bare face on days without makeup, and it does a great job with that second cleanse. I haven't noticed my skin dramatically improving because of this product, but the best thing about a cleansing foam is when it's gentle. I got lucky and won this product, so I decided to give it a shot! First off, unlike what others have mentioned, I really appreciated how well this froths up. When I lathered it, the foam felt like something between a regular cleansing foam and the Sen Perfect Whip - it had this unique, slightly slippery texture that I'd never experienced before! The cleansing experience felt nice, and while I wouldn't say it was a "wow" moment, there was nothing off-putting about the formula, scent, or cleansing process itself. Here's the tricky part I need to explain - when it first arrived, I was excited thinking it would feel moisturizing, so I went straight to cleansing. Since my skin leans toward the dry side, I was surprised to find that after using it, my face felt tight and dry without any of that slippery, moisturized feeling I'd hoped for. Funny enough though, I didn't experience any tightness before applying my toner, which was really interesting! Also, the bottle is quite generous in size! The amount of product you get is a huge plus! (I even included a comparison photo next to a venti takeout cup for reference) As I mentioned, since this cleansing foam is formulated with a focus on soothing and calming, I found it wasn't really suitable for dry skin types like mine. I'm curious to hear how people with oily skin experience this product! I think this would work great on days when your skin is extra oily or when you want to complete your cleansing routine with just one product! If you mix a little water and roll it between your hands to create a lather, it froths up really nicely.
