I absolutely love that this cleanser is fragrance-free! The lather is fantastic too. The walnut shell particles are really bothering me. They irritate even my normal skin and cause breakouts. I tried using it on my body instead of my face, but the same issue happened. Honestly, aren't we past the days of harsh scrubbing with visible particles? If you could reformulate this with the same great ingredients but without the walnut particles, I'd be thrilled. This could be my holy grail product for life if only those particles weren't there. My skin tends to be quite dry, and I really appreciated how this product gently removes dead skin without any irritation while leaving my skin feeling hydrated. Right after cleansing, my skin doesn't feel tight or uncomfortable at all, which is exactly what I was looking for. I've been using this since April 2025 and apply it about 2-3 times a week. The formula is a powder type with a mix of coarser and finer particles, and because of those larger granules, it works wonderfully on rough patches around the nose, chin, and other textured areas. When you use powder with coarser particles on your face, it can potentially irritate your skin. I've tried the entire Papa Recipe enzyme cleanser line, and I'm really impressed with how versatile it is. The grain cleanser that came out first has this lovely gritty texture for a powder cleanser, so I mainly use it during the summer when my skin tends to get oily. The other variant leaves my skin feeling beautifully hydrated even after double cleansing, which is why I'm so grateful to use it during winter since I have dry skin. Being able to choose different cleansers based on the season or my skin type has made me love Papa Recipe even more! Since the redesign, the opening has gotten wider and the product just pours out way too much, which is really frustrating. As someone who's been using this brand consistently from the very beginning, this is honestly the only thing I wish they hadn't changed. It's such a shame because everything else is perfect. As you probably know, if you put it in a foaming bottle to create a rich, creamy lather and apply it to your face for about 10 minutes before rinsing, your skin looks absolutely radiant and clear that day. You can use this as an exfoliant and also as a cleansing foam. My skin is naturally quite dry, so I usually can't use most products, but this one has just a slight tightening feeling. That's no big deal since I can easily hydrate with another product afterward. Honestly, it's less drying than other products I've tried and I really like it. I appreciate that this product is fragrance-free, but I'm puzzled about why they included those chunky, undissolved particles. It would be so much more convenient for users if everything had a smooth, fine texture instead. These grainy particles are really bothersome - they don't dissolve properly and just sit there. Why on earth would they do this? There's absolutely no reason not to make it uniformly smooth and finely ground. It's incredibly frustrating to use because those particles keep getting in the way. I really dislike using it. I don't see any helpful tips here - there aren't any. The requirement to write reviews with at least 20 characters needs to be fixed. In today's busy world, people should be able to share the key points without being forced to pad their feedback. That arbitrary minimum length requirement is inefficient, which is why I'd rather not bother writing reviews at all.

I was thinking about buying that one, but since Papaya Recipe was so popular, I decided to try theirs first. However, it doesn't quite give me the same wow factor as the other brand. When I use it on wet hands and rub it more and more, it creates more and more lather, and the texture becomes finer. I really enjoy that scrubbing sensation, so I use it with a bit less foam about twice a week. Right after using it, my skin texture definitely becomes smoother and more refined! I also love how silky and smooth it feels when I rinse it off with water. It feels great right after I use it, but by the next day it's like everything goes back to how it was before. I've heard that using enzyme cleansers every day can irritate your skin, so I only use it about twice a week, but I wish the results lasted longer.
