Bottom line first: 1. This is a hydrating serum, not a hydration serum. 2. It doesn't immediately fix deep dehydration. However, it works beautifully when layered over a water-based hydrating serum. 3. During summer, you can use it alone instead of a moisturizer. 4. Not ideal for makeup application. While it doesn't pill, makeup tends to slip off quickly. That said, if your skin is naturally very dry and makeup slides off easily, or if your skin overproduces oil due to lack of hydration causing makeup to budge, the high squalane content can help balance your skin's oil-water ratio, making this a potential game-changer for you. 5. For those with dry skin, mixing one pump of this into a hydrating cream mask works incredibly well. Skin Profile Extremely dry and sensitive skin. Thin, lacking elasticity, prone to hyperpigmentation. Enlarged pores around the T-zone. Previously suspected rosacea and had eczema, but both are now resolved. My usual skincare routine is simple: oil control, hydrating serum, treatment serum, moisturizer. I tested this product from August through October, trying it at the hydrating serum step, after the treatment serum step, and as a moisturizer replacement. Packaging I loved that the glass container keeps the product from deteriorating quickly. The dropper format is convenient to use. Some reviews mention the pump doesn't work well, and while this product has that issue too, it just requires the right technique. The brand's instructions work perfectly if you follow them exactly. Hydration Power While this product is marketed as a "water bomb serum" and hydrating serum, the high squalane content reveals it's actually a nourishing serum with noticeable oil content. Those with extremely dry skin and those experiencing oil surges from compromised oil-water balance can benefit from squalane's ability to regulate excess oil, so depending on your routine, you'll definitely need a serum like this. For those who recognize this specific need and are searching for such a product, this offers clear, significant advantages. It hydrates so effectively that you can use it instead of a moisturizer on summer nights. Looking at the attached photos, even when tilted, it doesn't drip—it's a lightweight emulsion-like serum with substantial oil content rather than a typical serum. However, it doesn't have the oil content of a heavy moisturizer. If you're frustrated by inner moisture evaporating no matter what you apply, adding this after a water-based serum really helps. Hydrating Cream Mask Compatibility For those with very dry skin, mixing one pump of this serum into a hydrating gel cream mask before applying creates amazing results. When a hydrating cream mask feels too lightweight on its own, blending this serum into the cream mask transforms the treatment—it outperforms sheet masks. Your skin becomes plump and dewy, saturated with moisture. Scent This was the most bothersome aspect for me. It has an oily smell—not like cooking oil, but more like that transparent solvent smell you get when rinsing oil painting brushes with turpentine at an art studio. That's the kind of scent it has. At first, I thought the product had gone bad, but when I inquired, the brand said it's the natural smell of the raw ingredients. You do adapt to it over time, but when you haven't used it in a while, the smell is strong enough to be unpleasant. I generally prefer fragrance-free products and ignore product-specific scents, but this one smells so chemical that it's genuinely bothersome. Number of Ingredients I've noticed that Panel products in general have a lot of ingredients. There's so much packed in that I wonder if it's really necessary, and while I'm not sure if it's because my skin is sensitive, Panel products definitely have a noticeable heaviness to them. It's hard to describe, but my skin feels somewhat weighed down. (It's not the heaviness from the oil content itself, but rather that distinctive heavy burden on the skin you get from products with lots of different ingredients packed in). Misleading Marketing That Feels Like Exaggeration This product genuinely has tremendous merit. There are definitely people who need it. However, those people aren't looking for a "hydrating serum"—they're looking for a "nourishing serum." In that sense, I felt the brand is missing the actual customers who need this and positioning it in a strange way that makes it seem mediocre to customers who don't need it at all. When people hear "water bomb serum," most think of a product that delivers intense inner hydration, not one with significant oil content. This felt nothing like a water bomb—it felt like an oil bomb instead. While I love hydrating products because I have extremely dry skin, this formula and texture aren't what my current routine needs at all, so it didn't feel good when I actually used it. Even though the product itself isn't bad, it feels like the marketing is working against it. I think it would have been better if they'd marketed it as something like "hydration-locking serum" or "hydration-barrier serum" to emphasize how well it seals in moisture. Price The price doesn't match the amount and function. I bought it cheaply through negotiation, but if I'd paid full price expecting a true water bomb serum, I would've been furious. That said, it works so incredibly well mixed into hydrating cream masks that I'll probably wait for big sales and stock up occasionally. I absolutely can't justify paying full price—not because I'm unwilling to spend, but because the product's actual use for me is limited to hydrating cream masks only. Awkward Oil Content—Terrible for Makeup In a way, this connects to the marketing issue I mentioned earlier. Since this product didn't work with my existing routine and I didn't need it, I tried several different ways to use it. I only kept experimenting because I thought that with my extremely dry skin, it could potentially work really well if used correctly. If I had normal or oily skin, I would've just abandoned it completely. I absolutely cannot use this during the day. It's terrible for makeup application. No matter what I apply or what I do, my makeup evaporates instantly and I'm left with a bare face. If I skip moisturizer and finish with just this, the hydration isn't strong enough and my makeup slides off while feeling dry. If I apply it before moisturizer, the excess oil makes makeup slip. Even with a light hydrating cream on top, all my makeup disappears. At night, I normally use a richer regenerating cream, so adding this on top makes my skin feel strained and heavy, and the next morning my pores look enlarged. After trying everything, the best use I found is mixing it into hydrating cream masks! I scoop out a generous amount of hydrating cream, mix in one pump of this serum, then apply it thickly to my face as a hydrating cream mask. I top it with a sheet soaked in hydrating toner. This way, moisture absorbs deeply into my skin while the nourishing ingredients lock it all in, leaving my face with a beautiful glow. Plus, my makeup applies beautifully the next day. - lo********Da hỗn hợpDa nhạy cảmĐược đề xuất22/10/2025 (UTC+0)
I've been using this for about three weeks and I'm absolutely in love with it—I even bought a backup bottle because I know I'll be using Panel forever. First off, this serum isn't a lightweight, watery formula. It's a rich, opaque serum with a thicker consistency. When I apply it to dry skin, it leaves my complexion feeling plump and supple. Honestly, my skin has been so parched lately that I've started using it even before my makeup routine, and it's been a game-changer. I normally only use water-based serums before makeup, but my skin just couldn't handle those lighter formulas anymore. With this one, my makeup sits beautifully without any flaking—it's incredible! I haven't experienced any breakouts, and when I apply it in the evening, my skin stays hydrated all the way through the next morning. It doesn't have any special bells and whistles like acne-fighting or brightening benefits, but it's amazing at tackling dryness and giving my skin that soft, smooth texture. It's the kind of reliable serum I'll keep repurchasing forever. If I had to nitpick, it's that there aren't any standout treatment benefits. If you're looking for calming or soothing properties, the 92 serum or a panthenol serum would be better choices. Oh, one more thing I just remembered—it feels like all Panel products have pretty small quantities? I'm not sure if it's because I'm applying it multiple times or what, but it runs out surprisingly fast. Also, the dropper doesn't work that smoothly. The product itself is fantastic, but could you please improve the packaging? And please, whatever you do, don't discontinue this! Can be used before makeup application, but not recommended for oily skin types. My skin type is naturally dry. - fa********Da thiếu nướcLàm sáng da / Đốm thâmBã nhờn / Mụn đầu đenQuầng thâm mắtKhô từ bên trongNếp nhăn / Độ đàn hồiLỗ chân lông toMẩn đỏTế bào da chếtĐược đề xuất20/10/2025 (UTC+0)
It absorbs deeply into the skin with a wonderful penetrating feel. The amount is so easy to control. It has a slightly thick consistency, so if you're not careful with how much you use, it can feel sticky. - ho*******Da khôLàm sáng da / Đốm thâmBã nhờn / Mụn đầu đenNếp nhăn / Độ đàn hồiLỗ chân lông toĐược đề xuất30/09/2025 (UTC+0)
This is genuinely so hydrating! I can skip my regular moisturizer cream and just use this alone—it's that effective. The texture is wonderfully creamy yet applies smoothly, and it delivers lasting moisture without feeling heavy. It does have a slightly tacky finish rather than being completely absorbed, but as someone with dry skin, I absolutely love that. When I apply makeup over it, I get that gorgeous dewy glow, though it can shift toward a slightly oily shine as the day goes on. I've learned to use just a little bit in the morning to keep that perfect balance. Everything about this product is great, but there are two issues I can't overlook. First, the amount you get is disappointingly small. Second, and more frustrating, the dropper applicator is incredibly difficult to use. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just poorly designed, but I have to pump it five or six times just to get the product to come up once. It's really annoying. - t4*******Da thiếu nướcDa nhạy cảmDa mụnDa dị ứngLàm sáng da / Đốm thâmBã nhờn / Mụn đầu đenQuầng thâm mắtKhô từ bên trongNếp nhăn / Độ đàn hồiLỗ chân lông toMẩn đỏTế bào da chếtĐược đề xuất22/09/2025 (UTC+0)
A reliable hydrating serum that's easy to use every day! 1. Spreadability : The spreadability is excellent! Even with just one pump, it spreads evenly across your entire face. I was initially worried about the consistency based on its appearance, thinking it might be hard to apply, but it turned out to be lighter than expected. It's perfect for daily use without any hassle! 2. Absorption : Better than I expected! At first, it felt a bit like it was sitting on the surface, and I thought I'd made a mistake buying it. But when I gently patted it in with my fingertips, it absorbed quite quickly. The absorption rate is solid and works great! 3. Irritation : I didn't experience any irritation at all. It feels gentle and isn't watery, so it gives your skin a comforting, enveloping sensation. Really pleased with this! 4. Hydration : Since this is a hydrating serum, this aspect definitely matters! It delivers nicely. While it doesn't completely eliminate deep dehydration, it's an excellent daily hydrating serum. When applied, your skin feels dewy and slightly plump. 5. Moisture Retention : Impressive! It has a slight oily component (not excessive, just the right amount), so even after applying the hydrating serum, your skin doesn't dry out easily. For a serum, the moisturizing power is quite noticeable! 6. Design : The minimalist design with a beautiful color makes me happy every time I see it on my vanity. The pump length and bottle size feel standard for a typical serum. The bottle is sturdy enough that it won't break easily even if knocked over with other products. Love that! Some people mentioned being disappointed by the oily feel, but I didn't notice it as much. However, here's my concern: 1. Value for Money : The product itself isn't bad, but I don't see why you'd pay this much for it. It's quite expensive. I'd only feel motivated to buy it during a major sale. The price doesn't match the product quality—the value for money just isn't there. - lo********Da hỗn hợpDa nhạy cảmDa mụnĐược đề xuất09/09/2025 (UTC+0)
After applying it, my skin feels so plump and firm! But it doesn't feel sticky at all! Even though it has a milk serum formula, it's not as heavy as I expected. The absorption is really quick, which I love, and I have a feeling that people with dry skin would absolutely adore this product! The scent is a bit off-putting for me. It's almost like there's no fragrance, but then there's this oily smell that I can't quite describe. It's just not my preference. Also, the packaging is a little inconvenient because the product comes out in tiny amounts, which is frustrating. - qh*******Da hỗn hợpĐược đề xuất22/08/2025 (UTC+0)
- Non-sticky formula - Feels like applying a super lightweight emulsion, so it spreads beautifully and leaves skin feeling hydrated - During summer, this alone is enough—you don't need to apply a separate emulsion - Gentle on skin, so you can apply it generously without worry - Haven't found any real drawbacks so far - I picked this up during a sale event at a great price, but at the regular price of around 40,000 won, I probably wouldn't repurchase it - bb********Da thiếu nướcDa nhạy cảmDa mụnLàm sáng da / Đốm thâmBã nhờn / Mụn đầu đenKhô từ bên trongLỗ chân lông toĐược đề xuất18/08/2025 (UTC+0)
I've been using this for over two weeks now, and I'm really impressed with how it finishes! The texture has this rich, dewy quality that makes it feel like oily skin types might not even need a separate moisturizer cream. It's not a lightweight, watery formula, so it doesn't feel super fresh, but that's actually what makes the hydration so effective. I usually prefer products that feel fresh and hydrating at the same time (I know those two things can be tricky to combine), but this one creates this sticky, occlusive layer that feels a bit heavy. When I layer it at night and apply cream on top, the cream doesn't absorb as well as I'd like. That said, since the layering approach means I might not need the cream anyway, it's not really a deal-breaker for me.
