My skin type: My skin feels tight and dry right after cleansing if I don't apply skincare immediately. I bought this because the mist format seemed convenient to spray on right away. Formulation: It's literally like water! A true mist! The fine mist spray makes it feel more like a hydrating mist than a traditional toner, honestly. Usage experience: Rather than feeling like my skin is getting hydrated, it feels more like I'm just spraying water on my face. To get it to absorb into my skin, I have to keep patting it in, and at that point, I might as well just use an exfoliating toner instead. I bought this mist format thinking it would be convenient to use, but having to constantly work it in made it more of a hassle. If I just leave it alone, it drips right off, so the absorption doesn't happen quickly. Packaging: I think the mist format appeals to some people, which is why I grabbed it too. Since I usually buy water toners and transfer them to empty bottles anyway, I appreciated not having to decant this one. That said, the bottle itself feels pretty heavy. So I ended up transferring it to an empty bottle instead. Would I repurchase: I don't think I'll be buying this again. The mist bottle is way too heavy to spray comfortably. The absorption doesn't seem great, and for the price, the results just aren't that impressive. Try gently patting your skin after spraying to help with absorption. The fragrance is lovely and the moisturizing effect is fantastic. Since it comes in a spray format, the application is smooth and even, and it absorbs beautifully into the skin without any patchy spots. The absorption is quick and smooth, and it covers all the basics you'd expect from a toner. Of course, you'll want to layer it with other products rather than using it alone. It didn't really wow me. The scent has a subtle herbal note that's quite pleasant. The mist spray is also pretty reliable. Compared to other toner mist products out there, it doesn't really stand out as dramatically different or exceptionally powerful, but it's solid and does the job well. The bottle is made of glass and looks luxurious, but it's really heavy. Fresh and lightweight with a wonderful cooling effect that feels amazing. It absorbs instantly and leaves your skin feeling perfectly smooth and mattified. If you have active breakouts or redness, this formula can feel irritating and may cause additional redness. I love that it comes in such a generous size. I've been using this brand since the early days when I'd get it from the salon, so I really trust it. I switched from Decleor because I couldn't get it imported anymore, and now I'm back to using Pimponshé. Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about it. Nothing at all. I've been using this for years and I absolutely love it. The mist format makes it so easy to apply generously! Everything about it is great except for the price point compared to other toners!
