I purchased the exact same product that they use at the postpartum care center. During the consultation, they mentioned mixing it with an emulsion, but since my baby was born in summer, I haven't actually used the oil yet. Since I became very dry during pregnancy, I tested it on my own skin too, and it absorbs beautifully with a moisturizing feel. While it doesn't maintain hydration for a full 24 hours, it definitely lasts long enough throughout the day. I've been mixing it into an emulsion and applying it to my baby regularly. I've noticed that with oils in general, there tends to be some oil buildup around the opening of the bottle after use, but I guess that's just something we have to accept. I was a bit disappointed by the fragrance, though I've heard that making it completely fragrance-free would actually be less effective. That said, it might be a little strong for newborns.
