I really love using balm cleansers at night, and I'm completely satisfied with everything about this one—the cleansing power, the texture, all of it. When water touches it, the emulsifying process starts, so you do need to use the built-in spatula to spread it around, which is a bit of a hassle. That said, I'm still happy with it and would recommend it. If you love Banila Co products, this is a must-try! The texture, cleansing power, and emulsification are remarkably similar. The lack of fragrance isn't ideal—it has that typical chemical product smell. If you prefer products without added fragrance, this might feel a bit plain, but if you're after something with a lovely scent, Banila Co is definitely the way to go. But with this cleansing balm, you apply the sherbet-like texture to your face and massage it in—it melts gradually as you work it in. I can even use it while watching TV at my vanity, which is so convenient. You don't need to wipe it away like a cream. Once you've massaged it enough, just rinse with water at the sink and you're done! Cleansing power that rivals oil Whoever developed this cleansing balm deserves recognition. Makeup comes off just as well as with oil. I've tried cleansing water, oil, and cream, but this balm works best for me and I love it. Scent and formula that work for everyone The fragrance is subtle and the ingredients are gentle—no one will dislike it. Compared to other cleansing balms, the texture seems like it might run excessively once it melts on your face. It doesn't actually drip, but people who've tried multiple cleansing balms will probably notice this. Apply it to a completely dry face and massage thoroughly. I'm trying this cleansing balm for the first time and I'm really impressed! It glides on so smoothly and emulsifies beautifully when I add water. It seems to remove really well. The best part is how cleanly it wipes away without leaving any residue. It feels way too greasy and slippery, which means I end up needing to double cleanse to get everything off.
