This lip color is absolutely stunning and glides on so smoothly. The shade matches my skin tone perfectly, and when I layer it over a lip base, it looks genuinely gorgeous. I'm really impressed with how well it performs. The matte finish does emphasize some dry patches a bit, but honestly, it's barely noticeable. This is a pure red shade with minimal pink or orange undertones. It looks absolutely stunning when you blend it in with a bullet brush rather than applying it directly. The blended application gives you the most beautiful, polished finish. While the color itself is pretty, the staying power is really disappointing. It transfers onto your mask easily, barely leaves any tint on your lips, and only looks good right after you apply it.

I actually have another oversized lip tint from the same collection, and it smells identical. So if you're sensitive to fragrance, I really recommend testing the scent before you buy! What I loved about this product is the case design. It's not a common style, so having it on my vanity or in my makeup pouch just makes me happy for some reason. Second, there's the color itself. To be honest, it seems to shift depending on my skin condition that day. When I lean into the warmth, it looks pretty decent, but if I go even slightly neutral, it can feel a bit dated and dull. That's why I don't reach for it as often as I'd like. That said, when it does work, the color is absolutely stunning. I have to admit that. First, I'm not a fan of vanilla scent, so I'll skip that part since it's just personal preference. The application isn't what I expected. When I blend it out after applying, it doesn't spread smoothly from where I first placed it. Instead, it gets a bit messy and uneven. No matter how gently I apply it, the result is always the same. So much product comes out of the tube! It dispenses two or three times more than I actually need. I know I should keep the opening clean, but since a big glob comes out every time I use it, I'm constantly wiping it away. It feels wasteful. The staying power isn't great. I know most velvet-finish tints are like this, so it's not a huge deal, but since I prefer long-wearing lip products, this feels like a real drawback for me. Buy this if you only care about the case and the color, and you're willing to constantly maintain your lips. I was torn because all the shades are gorgeous, but I think I made the right choice with Flame Chili! I didn't have a chili tone in my collection, and this one is such a beautiful chili shade that I'm totally in love with it. Plus, I have Toast Beige, so when I layer them using a lip brush, the result is absolutely stunning! The application is smooth and effortless, and the color stays put beautifully—I'm completely obsessed! The finish feels so velvety and soft, making it perfect for summer wear. I'm definitely going to keep using this! I highly recommend Rare Kind!!! So far, the only thing I wish were different is the longevity, but honestly, that's really my only complaint. I thought it would be a toned-down chili shade, but when I applied it, it gave off more of an orange-red vibe with a clear, luminous color that made my skin tone look radiant and glowing. When I used the smudging brush that came with my purchase, the wear time was impressive and it felt like the color adhered really well to my lips. True to its name as a smudge tint, the formula is great for blending, so I mainly use it as a base and need to layer another lip product on top to get decent longevity. I applied a beige base first and then layered this on top to create a gradient effect, but it completely melted away during rinsing and just came off. I bought this mainly because I absolutely love the color! I believe this shade was created by Minsco, and it's genuinely so beautiful! It's a chili-inspired tone, but with plenty of orange undertones mixed in. Unlike those deep, brown-heavy autumn chilis, this one has red notes reminiscent of gochujang or cho-jang sauce blended throughout. This makes it feel fresh and vibrant even during hot summer months without looking heavy or stuffy. I'd call it a bright, cheerful chili shade! If you're someone who loves warm-toned colors like me, I think almost 99% of people would adore this shade without hesitation. Even those who don't typically gravitate toward warm tones might discover what warm-cool harmony truly means with this color. It works beautifully during summer season, and if you're not strictly a cool-tone person, this is perfect if you've been curious about trying vibrant orange-red shades but found them too intimidating or bold. This shade is an ideal entry point into that color family! Honestly, I'm not a fan of blur tints in general because of their adhesion, and this tint is no exception since it's also a blur formula. Rather than feeling like it's clinging to your lips, it tends to sit on top of them. Plus, it has that signature oily feeling that blur tints are known for. So naturally, when you eat or wipe your lips with a tissue, the color comes off quite a bit and barely stays on your lips. When you wipe, the color tends to smudge or flake off messily. The inner lip area also doesn't get covered well due to the blur formula's nature. I'm someone who bought this purely because the color looked so gorgeous. But during times like these when we're wearing masks, applying this tint and then putting on a mask means it ends up inside the mask. That said, if you're someone who enjoys and prefers the moisturizing, soft, and oily feel of blur tints, I'd definitely recommend this!
