True to its name, you can apply it casually without worrying about smudging, and even though it has a matte finish, it's incredibly easy to work with. The color payoff is minimal, which actually makes it super forgiving if you need to blend or adjust. The shade itself is a beautifully balanced coral-beige with warm, golden undertones that work wonderfully as a base or worn alone without looking overdone. The velvet formula does tend to emphasize dry patches and texture when your lips aren't in perfect condition. The wear time isn't the strongest, so you'll need to touch up after eating, and there is some transfer that happens throughout the day.

What I really love is that it's not too deep, so it looks gorgeous on its own without feeling overwhelming - I'm genuinely obsessed! The chocolate scent makes it even better. Since this has a velvet formula, any imperfections or dryness on your lips will definitely show through, which can be a bit of a letdown. I found that applying it with your fingertip, a lip brush, or an applicator gives a much prettier, more polished finish than using a sonic device.
