If you want the conditioning benefits to last throughout the day, I'd recommend applying the hair essence after blow-drying. 1. The spray function doesn't really add much value, so I just pump it into my hand and apply it that way. It's not inconvenient, so it works fine for me. 2. The formula isn't gentle enough for my scalp, and I experienced allergic-like reactions with intense itching around my neck and jawline where the product touched. Because of this, I stopped using it and don't plan to repurchase. That said, the value for money is excellent—you get a generous amount of product for the price, and the formula itself performs well. You definitely need to shake this before using it. If you don't shake it, the texture comes out like thick yogurt as shown in the second photo. Once you shake it, it transforms into a more liquid consistency and sprays out smoothly. But if you skip the shaking step, it comes out looking like the photo, which is frustrating. The scent is absolutely lovely, and since I spray it right after shampooing, my hair feels noticeably calmer and so much softer. The spray comes out in an awkward, sputtering way, which is disappointing. Honestly, I'd recommend getting the HairPlus product instead! When I compared the two, HairPlus gave my hair a much smoother, more settled feel. Even when I used the same amount of this product, it left my hair feeling heavy and sticky. I was really let down by that.
