That's why I decided to try Daiso's Linoia product instead. Since it's a water treatment, it absorbs really well and does deliver moisture and oils deep into your hair. If your hair is extremely dry because treatments usually don't penetrate deep enough, you'll notice the effects pretty quickly. Don't expect this treatment to give you the same silky-smooth results as a regular cream type with just one application, or to deliver scalp nourishment and elasticity care. When you apply it, it warms up and transforms into a thinner cream consistency. It feels a bit oily, and I'm disappointed that it lacks a cooling effect or that refreshed feeling. I don't use it on my scalp anymore—I'd recommend it just for your hair ends. I usually use a hair emulsion plus hair oil when drying my hair, but when I used only this product without other treatments, even with the emulsion and oil, my hair got tangled and dry. So I started applying both the Linoia Water Treatment and the Linoia tube treatment to my ends, and that worked better. Using either one alone feels a bit lacking, but when I use both treatments together, my permed curls actually come back to life a bit. The pointed bottle opening was cut incorrectly, so I had to trim it with eyebrow scissors—that worked fine. I've seen this mentioned in other reviews too. The cap doesn't fit perfectly either and sits crooked, so the container seems generally defective. While trimming with eyebrow scissors solves it easily and a slightly misaligned cap isn't a big deal, be careful because you could hurt yourself if you cut it with a knife or use it without trimming. I won't repurchase this water treatment. I'll probably buy Kim Hee-ae Essence during home shopping sales or big discounts, or splurge a bit more on SQ Pharma's Monada Shampoo, which has all these benefits built in. Still, compared to the amount you get, it's way better value than getting treatments at a salon. Just buy the Linoia tube treatment alone, or get both the water and tube types and use them together. I didn't rinse out the water type and applied the tube type right on top. Normally you'd rinse after treatment to seal the cuticles with conditioner, but with two treatments, it got a bit oily, so I skipped the rinse and just applied hair emulsion and oil. Even using both treatments, you still need to apply something when blow-drying. Compared to Above Treatment: ✓ Softness and moisture: Above alone is better than Linoia Water plus tube combined ✓ Hair texture, curl elasticity, and curl revival: Above alone is better than Linoia Water plus tube (though the difference isn't huge) Above has higher protein content so it lifts curls more elastically, but if you don't have permed hair, using both Linoia treatment types together or the Linoia cream type would give you softer, better-looking hair. Compared to my original Elastin Patent Amino Peptide Treatment and rinse, this is way less effective. Honestly, for the price, this product has the best softness. My curls were falling and drooping, so I bought something with protein, but this Elastin Amino Peptide line is so superior in softness that using just the rinse or treatment alone beats everything else. If you're thinking "I use Above Treatment for softness but want something more affordable," just getting one Linoia tube treatment should be better than Above. (Above Treatment focuses only on protein so it lacks moisture, making your hair very rough after use—actually less soft than drugstore products.) I've been using this consistently for several months now and I absolutely love it. I have naturally frizzy hair, and after shampooing and drying, my hair would always get unruly and flip out. It was so annoying having to straighten just that section every single time. But now when I shampoo, apply this product, and rinse it out, my hair stays smooth and calm without needing the straightener at all—I can feel the difference right away. Plus, the scent is amazing! Everything else about this product is fantastic, but since I'm applying it from my scalp all the way through to the ends of my hair, it runs out really quickly. That said, the price is reasonable enough that I can't complain too much. Love the feel of it! This water-based formula is so convenient - I just spray it on my scalp and it naturally flows through my hair. When I rinse it out, my whole hair gets treated at once, which is amazing. My hair feels noticeably softer and way less dry than before. Great value for money too! Water treatments are usually so pricey that I can rarely justify buying them, but this one delivers excellent results without breaking the bank. I'm really happy with this purchase. This hair essence is absolutely incredible! I love that it's gentle enough to use on my scalp too You have to keep rinsing until there's absolutely no residue left, which takes quite a while. I absolutely love the floral scent on this product. The performance is genuinely impressive - it leaves my hair so silky and smooth. Why didn't I buy this sooner? I used to hate how I had to avoid getting regular treatment on my scalp, but this one is scalp-safe so it's so much easier to use! And honestly, my hair feels incredibly silky - my dog's head is super soft, and my boyfriend said my hair feels exactly the same now, haha! For just five dollars, this is seriously amazing value for money. Since it comes as a liquid rather than a cream, I'm not always sure if I've covered everything evenly. When I apply it with wet hands and rub my hands together, it becomes a faint cream texture, but it's not super thick. Plus, the product gets a bit warm as it transforms into cream form, and I'm not sure if that's okay for my skin. I'm really happy with this product! The price is great and you get a generous amount. After using it, my hair has this subtle, lovely fragrance that lingers throughout the day. When I spray it on, there's a nice warming sensation, and it absorbs into my hair beautifully. Even though I have fine hair, after using this treatment, my hair feels noticeably thicker and fuller with a smoother texture. Since it's a water-based treatment, I can apply it quickly during my busy mornings without any hassle. The container is way too stiff, so the product doesn't come out easily. I wish they'd either made the dispenser opening larger so you don't have to squeeze as hard, or used a softer, more flexible material for the bottle so it would be easier to press and dispense the product.

I'm honestly not sure why the dispenser opening was designed this way, but I found it a bit awkward to squeeze from the very first use. Here's a helpful tip: when the dispenser feels difficult to use, flip your head forward so all your hair falls in front of you, then tilt your head down and squeeze with the dispenser opening facing downward. When the formula touches water, it transforms to a milky white texture and creates a warming sensation that leaves your hair feeling incredibly soft and smooth. As a treatment product, I wouldn't say it offers the best value for money. Plus, my hair gets weighed down quickly and I've noticed some breakouts appearing.
