Highly recommend this for anyone with sensitive scalp, atopic dermatitis, or seborrheic dermatitis. It's incredibly gentle, lathers beautifully, and feels so refreshing. Since it's safe for kids from age 3, you know it's truly mild. I buy the larger size because I love it so much. Try the smaller size first, and if it works for you, definitely go for the bigger bottle! No disappointments whatsoever. Thank you so much for creating this product. The scent might not be for everyone, but I absolutely love it. If you're not getting much lather when shampooing, here's a pro tip: do a first cleanse (you won't get much foam), rinse it out, then shampoo a second time and you'll get beautiful lather. Note: if there's a lot of buildup or dirt on your hair, the first wash might not produce much foam, and that's completely normal.

The shampoo has a subtle floral and fruity fragrance rather than a strong cooling scent. The formula has a nice glossy finish, and even a small amount creates rich, abundant lather. Since it's from the sensitive line, I'm using it regularly hoping it will help with the scalp itchiness I've been experiencing lately. After rinsing, my hair feels so soft that I pair it with a lightweight conditioner instead of a heavy treatment. The Astera line seems to perform better than the previous green and orange lines. There are no particles, so no residue is left behind. I ordered the larger size online and the price point is quite reasonable. I'm really impressed with this product. I don't have any complaints at the moment. I would just love to see more products in the same line with a fresher, more cooling scent specifically designed for sensitive scalp care. I have a dry scalp and dry hair, and it was so itchy I could barely stand it... I don't think this product is right for me. Even right after washing, my scalp still feels itchy. The scent isn't appealing to me, and honestly, I didn't see the results I was hoping for. At first, I switched from my usual Head & Shoulders to try Amos Professional Smart 01 Shampoo. While the strong menthol scent gave a cooling sensation, the blemishes didn't improve and my scalp kept itching. So I decided to give Rene Furterer a try instead. Since making the switch, I've stopped getting those annoying breakouts and I'm really happy with the results. My scalp doesn't feel itchy anymore, so I'm planning to stick with this product long-term. I'm already on my second bottle and couldn't be more satisfied. The lather isn't as generous as I expected. I didn't find much to love about this product. Even though it's a well-known brand and I tried it during a promotion, it just didn't work well for either my husband or me. I bought this for my husband, who has a sensitive scalp. After he tried it, he complained that his hair felt even itchier after using it, and his hair texture became stiff and rough. So I started using it myself, but I was shocked to experience itching and increased flaking right from the first wash. It's such a waste to throw it away, so I keep using it, but I definitely won't be repurchasing this product. I noticed a real difference when I thoroughly saturated my scalp with water beforehand and let the product sit for a moment to soften the buildup. Then I worked the lather through with gentle fingertip massage during shampooing, and the itching and flaking improved noticeably. I used this product to tackle scalp itching and flaking. The scalp cleansing power was really impressive. After using it, I noticed my scalp and hair felt quite stiff and rigid. While the cleansing is effective, the overall feel wasn't great. Once I apply it, my hair feels so smooth and silky. I've also noticed it gives my hair some nice volume and body. It feels dry and stiff, even when I apply plenty of water. Plus, I noticed it actually triggered dandruff for me. I guess it really depends on the person.

I've been really happy using it, so I fell in love with the René Furterer brand and tried several other products like Tonisia, the soothing line, and their yellow nourishing shampoo. But honestly, this Forticea is my absolute favorite. Whenever my scalp gets itchy and my hair feels thinner, I do an intensive treatment with just one bottle for about a month, and it really makes a noticeable difference in scalp health. I do find it a bit too drying and tight-feeling on my hair. Plus, while it does cleanse really well and exfoliates the scalp effectively, that comes at a cost because there are quite a few surfactants packed into the formula. Because of that, I wouldn't say this is something I'd reach for as a regular, everyday product. Give this a try when you need some serious scalp care. It seems really solid and reliable. I didn't experience any scalp issues while using it, which is great. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, but if I had to nitpick, I didn't notice any increase in hair volume or thickness from using it.
