1. Color - 4 out of 5 stars (I'm a shade 22-22.5 with yellow undertones, not particularly fair-skinned, and I prefer natural-looking makeup over heavy coverage) (Bright shade 23: natural / Regular shade 21: too light) - Not overly yellow-toned, gives me a nice radiant finish, shade 101 would be too light for me - Similar brightness to RMK Gel Creamy 101 - This foundation has one of the lighter shades in the RMK foundation range 2. Skin Finish - 3 out of 5 stars - The glow comes from smoothness rather than oily or dewy shine (You can tell why it's considered an aesthetic powder foundation) - Finishes with a subtle semi-matte look while maintaining a nice sheen and luminosity - Covers texture and pores quite well, making skin look smooth - Applies smoothly and feels hydrating without any dryness - Doesn't emphasize fine lines around the eyes or nasolabial folds (RMK does this really well) - The strong coverage does give a "made-up" appearance 3. Coverage - 4 out of 5 stars - Excellent at covering redness from sensitivity and breakouts - Great at concealing dark acne scars - Handles other blemishes well - Texture and pore coverage is decent - Overall coverage is strong - Skin looks quite smooth thanks to the texture-smoothing effect - However, it doesn't completely hide texture and pores 4. Longevity - 4 out of 5 stars - Lasts quite well throughout the day - RMK foundations in general tend to break down with excess oil - Rather than completely falling apart, the foundation gently dissolves into oil and fades cleanly - Requires careful blotting and light touch-ups Since I have oily skin, when the foundation has shine while texture and pores aren't completely covered, my skin looks messy. The coverage is stronger than expected, so it also tends to look quite made-up. The foundation itself is really well-formulated, but it's just not quite right for my skin. Honestly, I find that using the same brand's gel creamy foundation with powder and cream highlighter works better for me, even if they provide less hydration and glow. If you prioritize coverage and have minimal pores and texture, I think you'd be able to achieve a smooth and hydrated skin finish with this foundation during winter.
