Shade 17-19/Cool undertone/Sensitive and combination skin This is my go-to lip product every winter! I've tried several other lip balms, glosses, and tinted products, but I always come back to this one. Don't get me wrong—other lip balms have better moisture, but the smooth application and gorgeous color keep me coming back. I've been using Mauve Whip for about a year and recently picked up Veiled Rose, which is equally beautiful. Mauve Whip has more saturation and delivers a richer color payoff, while Veiled Rose is a more muted, natural nude that feels like a second skin. Veiled Rose looks so natural on bare lips without any awkwardness! I'm obsessed. Honestly, nothing really. When I first applied it, I thought it felt a bit sticky, but compared to other moisturizing lip products, it's actually a lifesaver. I'm really happy with the shade—it's a beige with just a hint of red undertone that I love. The application is smooth and moisturizing, and while it does feel a bit sticky, it's not uncomfortable at all. Actually, that slight tackiness helps it last longer, which is a nice bonus. The staying power is the main issue for me. The color is absolutely gorgeous, and the application feels so smooth and luxurious! I wasn't expecting much since it was a gift, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I love it! The only downside is that the staying power could be better, but honestly, everything else about it is fantastic! For the best results, I start by applying a lip tint in a similar shade as a base, then layer this balm on top, and finish with just a touch of lip gloss for an extra polished look!

I think this might be the best option from Romand's lip line, honestly. I only swatched it with one finger, but it goes on more sheer than expected, giving off this semi-glowy finish. If you find the shine from tints or glosses too intense, I'd definitely recommend a melting balm instead. Veiled Rose is such a true my-lips-but-better shade. It leans a bit cool-toned, but I think it works beautifully with neutral undertones too. I have neutral undertones and it looks great on me. The texture feels less sticky than a gloss but slightly stickier than a tint, if that makes sense. As for wear time, it lasts about halfway through a meal before fading. I'm a bit disappointed by the overly sweet grape candy scent. All the Romand lip products seem to have this grape jelly-like fragrance, and honestly, it's not for me.

I had the same concerns with Veiled Rose, and honestly, my worries were justified. That said, it does apply with a cleaner finish, and when I use just a light hand, it looks really natural. I'm happy with how it performs. The texture feels great, and the staying power is actually better than I expected. The more I apply it, the more purple it becomes, which is disappointing. I wish it had less color payoff or appeared more sheer. It's great because I can use it without any worries. Excellent, excellent, excellent! It removes well, but it melts easily whenever I carry it in my pocket. So frustrating!

The color is so subtle and pretty, and it doesn't settle into fine lines. There's just enough tint to look natural and effortless! Plus, it has this amazing mango-like scent that's absolutely delightful. If you can't stand sticky formulas, skip this one. That said, it seems to work well for most people.
