I absolutely love the gorgeous, mysterious shade when I first apply it. The formula is perfect too—it gives such a lightweight, subtle shine that feels amazing. My lips feel so light and comfortable wearing it. But then I developed lip irritation, so I tried using it again and immediately got blistering and heat sensation, so I'm just going to throw it away. There's been a whole thing with Romand lip irritation issues lately, and I heard the older formula version had fewer problems, so I pulled that out to try again, but unfortunately it didn't work either. The color applies unevenly with blotchy patches, and the color darkening is really intense. I get that the shine fades over time, but the color that stays is so different from the initial shade that I've stopped using it altogether. If you're experiencing lip irritation symptoms, applying medication prescribed by a dermatologist and then layering a gentle lip balm on top really helps calm it down! I have a cool undertone, and I absolutely love the color payoff and moisturizing feel of this lip product. It's exactly the shade I was looking for. The size is perfect too—I'll definitely be able to enjoy this for a long time. My lips are getting incredibly dry and flaky with this product. Since my job requires me to talk a lot, after just one hour my lips start peeling and feel really uncomfortable.

The application is so smooth and the color payoff is absolutely incredible - it's Romand, so I trust it completely! That said, my lips are extremely dry and prone to flaking, and this formula makes them feel even more parched. I've read so many reviews saying this shade looks gorgeous on some people but really doesn't work for others, and unfortunately it didn't work for me either. It applied as a deep wine color that made me look like I had frostbite. I used it twice and then it sat in my drawer collecting dust. I've been using this for over 6 months now. The color payoff is really solid, and it applies so smoothly with a nice dewy finish. Sometimes it can look a bit patchy or chalky when I first apply it, but a few gentle blends and it looks perfect.
