On my lips, the formula doesn't emphasize dry patches, and the color payoff seems similar to how it looks on the back of my hand. Since it's a lipstick, the wear time isn't exceptional, but it's definitely not disappointing either. I have so many lip products that I don't use this one constantly, but it's a solid product that I find myself reaching for every so often. I don't really have any complaints! The price is fair, and I love that it doesn't highlight dry patches. Before the redesign, this lipstick had such a gorgeous sweet potato-inspired shade - a soft muted pink with plum undertones. But after the refresh, it completely transformed into this stunning fuchsia plum color. The finish has this luminous, almost neon-like quality with a distinctly cool blue undertone. It's honestly a cool-girl essential, though I have to say - if you're a warm-tone person, this shade really isn't for you. The application feels a bit dry and stiff. The cool-toned lipstick has such a gorgeous color, and while some lipsticks can cause irritation if applied incorrectly, this one is totally fine! It melts easily and breaks, but it has so many great qualities that I keep using it anyway!

I have a fair complexion with cool undertones, and I absolutely love the color of this lipstick. It's a gorgeous dark plum pink shade that really stands out. If you have cool undertones, especially during winter, this shade is absolutely made for you. It's such a flattering color for anyone with cool undertones. And honestly, for the price, the quality is fantastic. The main downside is that the color doesn't last as long as I'd like. Since I have dry skin, I need to apply a hydrating lip balm underneath before wearing it, and I do notice some flaking. It applies so smoothly and the staying power is pretty much on par with other tints and lipsticks - you'll need to reapply after eating, but that's totally normal. Plus, the color payoff is absolutely gorgeous when it goes on. Not really any downsides, but since the product name says matte, you have to accept that it's going to have that matte finish - it just comes with the territory. I love that the case has a matte finish, and it feels sturdy and looks beautiful. The formula applies smoothly without emphasizing any dry patches or texture. The formula tends to cake and blend together more than I'd like. The color appears more vibrant on my lips compared to how it shows on the back of my hand, though this varies from person to person. I was hoping for a deep purple or violet tone like purple sweet potato, but as time goes on, it shifts to a pale pink with a whitish cast, which wasn't the shade I was expecting. While it might suit cooler undertones beautifully, it just didn't deliver the color payoff I had in mind.
