I was using a hydrating ampoule that got discontinued twice, so I rushed to find a new one and ended up trying this product. Since I have sensitive skin and don't like layering multiple products, I was looking for something with good hydration and lasting power. After browsing through hydrating ampoules, this one stood out because the ingredient list seemed clean and gentle. I decided to give it a try, and it's almost 90% compatible with my previous ampoule. I'm already so satisfied with it, and the texture is actually even better than expected, so it was a total lucky find. *** I've been using it for about 2 weeks now, and I'm noticing some drawbacks the more I use it. I'll add those concerns below. *** What I loved: 1. Texture First of all, it feels so similar to my previous product that I really like it. It has a slightly runny consistency with plenty of hydration, applies smoothly, and absorbs well into the skin. It doesn't evaporate quickly or dry out fast, so the hydration really penetrates the skin. Sometimes this type of runny formula can feel sticky or suffocating on the skin, but this product doesn't have any of that, so I can use it without any worry. 2. Ingredients When my skincare routine gets complicated, my skin tends to reject it and feel overwhelmed, so I only use products with minimal ingredients. This product is exactly that. Other products have at least 30 ingredients, but this one has significantly fewer, so I felt confident purchasing it. 3. Lasting Power Based on the current season (summer), this product has such good staying power that I can use it alone. I applied just this product in the evening and woke up the next morning with no tightness or dryness at all, just comfort. Of course, during seasonal transitions or winter I probably couldn't use it solo, but right now it's perfectly fine on its own. 4. No Irritation, Yes Soothing This is the most important part for me, and this product has zero irritation. It simply hydrates without any stickiness, so there's no burden on my skin. After using it daily for a week, my skin hasn't had any negative reactions, and it actually seems to have a soothing effect. It seems to soothe even better than my previous product, so I'm really happy with it. 5. Fragrance-Free I love that there's no added fragrance, and the product itself has no scent either, which is wonderful. There's no irritating smell when I apply it, so I can use it comfortably. 6. Compatibility with Other Products My typical skincare routine is hydrating ampoule followed by a barrier mist or regenerating ampoule, and this product works great with my other products, making it perfect for daily use. When I do my makeup, it actually applies better than when I used my previous ampoule, and my skin texture looks smoother and more refined. My previous product was discontinued once before and then relaunched, and I was using it well until it got discontinued again. Even though I found this product out of necessity, I'm using it so satisfactorily that I'm leaving this review. I was always anxious using a product that gets discontinued frequently, but now that I've found something to settle on, I feel much more at ease. It works well with my other products and most importantly, it suits my skin so well that I've already stocked up. Unless this product gets discontinued, I plan to keep using it as my daily staple. If you have sensitive skin and are looking for a hydrating ampoule, please definitely try this product. It doesn't have dramatic effects, but it's a really great product for reliably replenishing hydration. After using it for 2 weeks, I'm noticing that it either doesn't suit my skin or the drawbacks are becoming more apparent. 1. Dryness During the first week, the hydration felt amazing and I was really satisfied, but the more I use it, the more I experience dehydration underneath. On the surface it seems fine, but it feels like there's a drought happening deep in my skin, so it keeps getting tighter and my skin feels irritated. 2. Folliculitis and Breakouts Whether it's because of the underlying dryness or not, I started getting folliculitis and breakouts on my skin. They're not long-lasting pimples, but 2-3 new ones pop up every time I apply it, so I'm losing motivation to use it. 3. Skin Inflammation This also seems to be from the dryness. My skin texture is getting rougher and it feels like it's heading toward skin inflammation. Especially when I apply makeup, the dryness comes up from underneath, and you know that itchy, uncomfortable feeling? That's exactly what I'm experiencing, and it's my least favorite sensation. I've somehow become a hydrating ampoule nomad. Since this product seems to be doing more harm than good the more I use it, I haven't been reaching for it these past few days. It's not like my skin is dramatically breaking out or anything terrible, but it keeps gradually getting worse in subtle ways, so I'm planning to stop using it. I'm currently testing out various other products. The texture is thicker than the soothing ampoule—kind of like a lightweight serum consistency, and it's noticeably more viscous than Torriden. When I apply it, it feels hydrating and absorbs nicely, though it does take a bit longer to sink in compared to the ampoule. It doesn't feel heavy or pill under sunscreen, which is great! I think it might feel too dry for winter use, but it's perfect for spring and fall. Since I'm used to the super lightweight soothing ampoule, this product might feel a touch heavy during summer.
