I didn't know that at first and applied it to dry skin, which almost compromised my skin barrier. After cleansing with a foam cleanser, I just apply it while my face is still damp without toweling off, which makes the routine so convenient. That's honestly my favorite part. When you apply it, you'll feel warmth building up on your skin, so this is definitely something people will have mixed feelings about. For oily areas, I gently massage it in with the sugar granules, and for other areas, I just leave it as is. The sugar dissolves quickly, then I do a bit of rolling and rinse it off. It rinses away so easily, which is another great thing about it. As for results, it does remove oil, but the effect is pretty mild. I used it daily in September and noticed my nose area became smoother, which was nice. The hydrating effect is really good though. However, I didn't see any brightening benefits at all. Considering it's a warming steam mask with solid moisturizing benefits, I think it would be perfect for winter use. I was impressed enough at first that I stocked up three tubes at home... I couldn't wait to try it, so I tested it on the back of my hand first. The lemon scent is so fresh and zesty - absolutely perfect! And just like in the photos, you can see those little textured granules that give it that amazing exfoliating effect. I rubbed it on the back of my hand, organized my delivery box, and when I washed it off, my skin felt so hydrated and smooth! If you want both exfoliation and moisture in one product, you have to try this! It's such a great two-in-one with the exfoliating scrub and hydrating benefits, and honestly I have no complaints! I apply it to my face while showering, do other things like wash my body, and then rinse it off - it works wonderfully that way!
