I've been using this as a sample. I actually tried the pink product as my full-size version, and honestly, this one feels like it works even better for me. Just like the pink one, it comes in the cutest compact size that fits perfectly in my pouch, so I can easily touch up my makeup on the go. As someone with oily skin, this wasn't really a winner for me. After applying sunscreen and letting it absorb, it felt nice and mattified at first. I've been using this for about a month now, and I really love how lightweight and easy it spreads on. It doesn't feel heavy or sticky at all, so even people who normally skip sunscreen find it easy to use. The staying power is disappointing. I've never willingly applied sunscreen in my life because all the ones I've tried feel so heavy and have this weird sensation where they pill and flake off like dried skin. Every summer I try different sunscreens, but half of them feel sticky and heavy with questionable ingredients, so I end up with unused stock piling up. Then I tried a Cynic sample and loved it, so I looked it up and decided to buy it. I was worried it might not work for me and I'd end up with more wasted products, but I'm so relieved it turned out great! It's not sticky, no white cast, and it applies like a lightweight essence without feeling heavy or suffocating. I'm really happy with it. This summer, I'm going with Cynic sun essence. The container fits nicely in one hand and has a simple design, which is great. However, when my hands are slippery, it's a bit inconvenient to open and close. For a product with this consistency, I think a pump dispenser would be more practical. My skin tends to be sensitive and oily. Whenever I use mineral sunscreen alone, my pores get clogged and I break out in tiny bumps. I can't seem to tolerate mineral formulas, whether it's zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. With organic sunscreens, I experience heat, itching, redness, and these white, bumpy inflammations appear. The organic ingredients seem to trigger a lot of irritation for me. I watched Director Pie on YouTube and decided to give this a try, even though I was skeptical. For a sensitive skin like mine, this product is actually quite usable. It's not completely irritation-free, and I occasionally notice small breakouts in the evening, but nothing serious. There's no itching, and compared to everything else I've tried, this one works really well. I'm planning to keep using it. It's not exactly oil-free. When I apply it, I can feel the oiliness quite strongly, with a glossy finish. Since my skin is oily, even in summer I can skip the moisturizer and just use an essence and sunscreen, and that's enough coverage because of how much oil this provides. Also, when it mixes with incompatible formulas like hydrating creams, it tends to pill and separate. I remembered using a Cyanide sunscreen before and really liking it, so I was excited to try this one. The compact size makes it perfect for carrying around with you. After using it, I found it has exactly the sunscreen formula I love, so I'm really satisfied. There's no white cast, and true to its sun essence formula, it has a hydrating texture that applies smoothly even when you just slather it on your face, which I really appreciated. It applies lightly, giving that barely-there feeling once it sets. If you're someone who loves a lightweight yet moisturizing sunscreen, I'd definitely recommend this product. It's also perfect to apply before your makeup routine. I was a bit disappointed that the amount seems small and I'll probably go through it quickly, but other than that, I was satisfied with everything else.
