By the second week, I could see subtle improvements in my pores, and by week three, the enlarged pores around my cheekbones appeared slightly tighter and the fine lines on my forehead seemed to be smoothing out. My skin became visibly radiant—so much so that my foundation shade 23, which used to look slightly too light, now matches perfectly. I'm thinking that with continued use, I might even be able to go down to shade 21. The opaque container makes it impossible to see how much product is left inside. Since it's not a vacuum-sealed container, it's a bit tricky to use every last drop. Also, because this contains retinol, I have to be careful about using it in the morning since it can make skin more sun-sensitive. I need to remember to always apply sunscreen, which requires extra attention to my routine. During the first week, I applied it every other evening to let my skin adjust to the retinol, and once I confirmed my skin was handling it well, I started using it every evening from week two onward. After letting it absorb, I layered a hydrating serum and moisturizer on top. This is the only product I've repurchased more than three times. I wrote a review three months ago after finishing it, and I've already bought two more bottles. I just keep using it consistently, and I'm so happy with the results! The price relative to the product size is quite steep. My skin type: very dry, sensitive with eczema-prone tendencies, redness-prone, compromised skin barrier, occasional milia when dehydrated My skin is delicate, but since I'm getting older, I know I need to stay consistent with anti-aging care. That's how I started using this product. I can't use it every day because of the redness and barrier sensitivity, so I apply it 1-2 times a week at night. After using it, my skin looks noticeably brighter from that evening through the next day. It really works for fine lines and brightening. I tried using it daily, but my skin actually became more red and looked dull instead. For me, 1-2 times a week is the sweet spot. On days when my forehead lines feel particularly pronounced, I'll apply it before bed. I'm happy just maintaining my current skin condition and fine line appearance. I think retinol isn't meant to be used daily. I'd say 2-3 times a week is the right amount. I apply it in the evening before bed. When using retinol, I skip all other active ingredients. If I layer hydrating toner, retinol, hydrating emulsion, eye cream, hydrating moisturizer, and treatment cream all together, it's actually too much for my skin.
