The finish isn't quite as mattifying as the name suggests! Actually, it has quite a bit of hydration, which made it perfect for sheet masking to boost moisture! I expected a stiff toner feel based on the name, but it was completely different from what I anticipated! The texture is closer to "fresh" than "mattifying." Moisturizing Power It's packed with lightweight hydration and has no oily feel! It's not the kind of moisture that evaporates instantly, but rather provides adequate staying power that truly hydrates from within! It's literally "matte but moisturized," making it the perfect formula for combination skin types. Pad The pad is absolutely saturated with essence, staying dewy even after 5+ minutes of sheet masking! It works great as both an exfoliating toner and for sheet masking, but it's especially suited for masking! The material is thin, soft, and non-irritating! Since there's no embossed texture, it's better suited for soothing and hydration rather than exfoliation! I don't notice much difference between the two sides, and it was too thin to cut in half! Though I think my product might have a slight defect because the heart design isn't perfectly symmetrical. Fragrance The scent is absolutely amazing! I was worried because I really dislike artificial, cheap peach hand cream fragrance! It does have an artificial quality, but it doesn't feel cheap—it smells like edible peach! Even though it's not 100% natural fragrance, it has a rich, sweet, genuinely peachy scent that I'm very satisfied with! After using it all up, I wipe my neck and body, and I think the lingering fragrance would be lovely. Effects The oil control effect is solid! There's definitely a noticeable difference compared to days when I use a regular lightweight pad! With other oil-control products, the mattified state lasts as long as possible before oil resurfaces much later. With this product, oil doesn't completely disappear, but rather stays at a minimal level throughout the day until evening! The soothing effect worked best for me! Among sheet mask toner pads, this one has excellent absorption, so it's fantastic for addressing dehydration! It builds a really solid foundation while still delivering functional benefits, making it great for students. Carrot/Basil/Peach Comparison Carrot Pad (Hydrating Moisture): For dry skin and all seasons, moisturizing essence toner Basil Pad (Cool and Mattifying): For oily skin and peak summer, fresh and lightweight toner Peach Pad (Matte but Moisturized): For combination skin and summer, dewy and lightweight toner This differs slightly from the product description, but based on my experience, this is the most accurate comparison! Both basil and peach have no oily feel, but the peach feels more hydrating and dewy to me! Final Thoughts Even the best products usually have one or two drawbacks, but this one genuinely seems to have no real downsides! I had high expectations since Skinfood makes such great toner pads, and I was pleasantly surprised! I would definitely repurchase this! There really weren't any disappointing aspects.
