If you've struggled with Urban Decay's overpowering scent and weak spray, come over here! The spray is absolutely fantastic. It mists so beautifully across your face like a fine cloud. The holding power is also great for everyday wear without feeling heavy. I've tried both the Original and Glow versions, and while the Glow obviously gives that luminous finish, the Original works perfectly for daily use. I usually apply Rom&nd Bare Water Cushion and then spray the fixer, and they work so well together that I'm planning to repurchase. On days when I want more coverage, I used to layer a semi-matte powder foundation with the Original, but since I only had the Glow on hand, I tried it anyway and honestly, they complement each other beautifully. It's not too dewy, not too matte, so my skin feels comfortable and looks gorgeous. The finish lasts incredibly long throughout the day. Even when I sweat quite a bit, my makeup doesn't break down significantly. Since it's a fine mist spray, it does tend to get on your hair too, which means your hair gets set as well. Personally, I actually use it to set my hair. After spraying the fixer, I just comb through my baby hairs and flyaways with a fine-tooth comb to tidy them up. However, there's a slight feeling that your hair can get a bit stiff, so if you don't like that texture, this might not be for you. I couldn't pass up a dewy finish, so I chose the most hydrating setting spray from the options available. I'm planning to use the setting spray three times total—before applying foundation, during application, and after I'm done. I also got a recommendation for a mist-type setting spray and decided to purchase it. It comes in such a pretty natural pink metallic case. The spray disperses evenly without any clumping. I thoroughly dampened my makeup sponge, then used it before foundation application, again during foundation application with the setting spray still on the sponge, and finally misted it all over my face after completing my foundation. I've read other reviews mentioning that setting sprays can feel tight on the skin, but this water glow setting spray is incredibly moisturizing—I didn't experience that sensation at all. I'd definitely recommend this as an effective, hydrating setting spray. I haven't noticed any downsides yet. I'm a shade 21, cool-toned with dry, sensitive skin. I originally bought this for summer use, but... The staying power is basically nonexistent, and when I apply the setting spray, it actually makes everything look worse and breaks down my makeup. I've only used it three times and I'm never touching it again. If you do decide to use it, don't spray it directly on your face—apply it to a puff and gently press it on instead. Dry for at least 15 minutes before applying your mask, and you won't get any transfer. Right after application, you get that gorgeous dewy, luminous finish. Urban Decay also has their Ultra Glow Fixer, and honestly, comparing the two, they're pretty much the same thing. After an hour, it starts to feel dry. It's better than a matte setting spray, but even so, when you look in the mirror, you can see the dryness. Though I'm wondering if this is because I'm applying too much product. I should try using less next time. Use just a tiny amount. And make sure you let it set for at least 15 minutes before putting on your mask. Just because it looks a bit chalky indoors doesn't mean it will look that way in natural light, so definitely stick with a light hand.
