While it layers nicely with other products, the texture feels too lightweight and after it absorbs, I don't feel like it's doing much. I ended up layering another active essence on top to get the results I wanted. The heavy, opaque glass bottle makes it hard to gauge how much product you're using. It does go through fairly quickly, so you'll want to stock up ahead of time Think of it as a base layer. It didn't cause any irritation and didn't seem to be picky about skin types. In other words, beyond feeling gentle, there wasn't anything particularly special about it. The slight thickness was a bit of a turnoff for me, but when I gave it to my mom, she loved how soft and moisturizing it was. The Micro Active line has a pretty gentle feel to it, so I think it would be great for people with sensitive skin. I use it every morning and evening, and I really love it. My skin has become so much softer. I do think it's quite pricey without a discount. That said, I rarely buy it without some kind of deal, so I guess there aren't really any downsides. Honestly, I can't even find anything to complain about. Even with a discount, it still feels expensive to me. If you use the powder cleanser and cream from the same line together, it works even better. The powder cleanser leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth, and while the serum alone can feel a bit drying, adding the cream on top makes all the difference. I've never bought just the serum by itself. I either get it as part of a set, wait for at least a 15% discount, or grab it when there's a free gift promotion. Since they offer curated sets in addition to single products, I'd recommend checking those out. I found mine on the official Sulwhasoo website or their official Naver Smart Store. I've also seen them running promotions at Olive Young pretty regularly.
