I'm a cushion enthusiast who's tried countless cushions, and this is honestly the most satisfying one I've used. My skin tends to be dry, but this cushion strikes the perfect balance—it feels hydrating without being heavy, and the finish is beautifully matte. I went a shade lighter than my natural skin tone, and it makes my complexion look so much brighter and more radiant with zero oxidation. The best part is that it does everything at once: brightening, anti-wrinkle, and sun protection all in one product. I can literally just apply this cushion and my makeup is done—it's incredibly convenient. The mirrored compact case is both a blessing and a curse. Sure, it's convenient to check your face anytime, but it shows every fingerprint and smudges easily. Plus, since it's from Sulwhasoo, the price point is definitely on the higher side, which is a bit of a letdown. I usually wear shade 17, so I picked up both shade 17 and shade 11. I use the lighter shade 11 on areas where I want more brightness and apply shade 17 along my jawline to add dimension. I picked this up because I have shade 13 skin and I really loved how naturally it looks on my complexion. I have to say, it's not bad at all! The formula feels hydrating and the coverage is pretty impressive. It does tend to oxidize a bit, so you really need to be careful with how much you apply. If you use too much, it gets thick and can settle into fine lines, which isn't ideal. Plus, the scent is honestly a total turnoff for me—it smells like old-school makeup, and it's really bothering me. To be honest, this cushion has way more drawbacks than perks for my skin. I'd skip using this for touch-ups throughout the day. No pore-clogging ingredients (since I have combination skin prone to congestion and breakouts, I get nervous using products with even one problematic ingredient for oily skin). For summer, I prefer long-lasting, matte finishes, so I usually reach for Etude's Double Lasting Foundation. Before settling on Etude, I kept wasting money because even their lightest shade looked too yellow and dark on my skin tone. Then I discovered Etude's Rosy Pure shade, which was finally a perfect match. I was hesitant buying this one too, but the color difference is barely noticeable. Even though it's labeled as cool-toned, it seems less pink than Rosy Pure and has more yellow undertones, which worried me at first. But once I applied it, I absolutely loved it! I was searching for a foundation for the drier season and when I found this cushion with ingredients that actually work for my skin, I was so relieved. Now I can do my makeup without stress. For anyone with fair skin tones like me, I'm sharing photos to help you choose the right shade without second-guessing yourself. Nothing to complain about yet. I have very fair skin, so finding the right shade cushion has always been a challenge. When I heard that Sulwhasoo released shade 11, I decided to give it a try. The reviews mentioned that it provides great coverage, applies thinly, and looks luxurious, so I had high expectations. It definitely delivered! The pore coverage is excellent, and my skin looks absolutely porcelain-like and flawless when I apply it. Since the formula is quite hydrating, I do notice a bit of transfer onto my mask.

I'm a summer light-pale tone complexion person. I typically find that pink undertones suit me better than yellow undertones in my foundation choices. Honestly, since my skin is quite fair, I'm just happy when I find a shade that matches, regardless of the product's performance. I noticed that Sulwhasoo's Perfecting Cushion had a shade refresh, so I decided to give it a try this time. I usually prefer matte foundations, and I normally use Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Cushion in shade 10. Sulwhasoo's Perfecting Cushion is a hydrating cushion, but it's not overly dewy. If I had to rate it on a scale where matte is 1 and dewy is 10, I'd say it sits around 6—it's a lightly hydrating cushion. While the shade 11 is pink-toned, it doesn't make my face look dramatically brighter (based on my skin tone). It gives a natural, healthy-looking complexion that's just right. It's convenient to apply generously when heading to work, and even with a light hand, it provides good coverage. I really appreciate how it evens out my skin tone with a smooth, uniform finish. There is some mask transfer, but the formula is easy to touch up. When I remove my mask, I can simply tap the cushion puff over the affected areas for quick corrections. The case does look more luxurious than before, but coming from the sleek Yves Saint Laurent cushion case, the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion case feels a bit dated. Plus, the case is quite wide, which takes up more space than I'd like.
