I only use The Lab by Blanc Doux products. Every single item is so gentle on my skin. I've been loyal to this brand since the beginning and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. The sunscreen doesn't leave any white cast and the emulsion formula absorbs beautifully into my skin without any heaviness. It doesn't pill at all. Seriously amazing! I'm on my third bottle now. Last year, I visited a skincare clinic for the first time, and they told me I had redness. They mentioned that I was layering multiple products with harsh formulas on my skin. After that, every time I finished a product, I researched alternatives and gradually switched to gentler formulations one by one. That's when I discovered The Lab by Blanc Doux—a brand that's cruelty-free, vegan, and has such mild, soothing ingredients. The downside is that the bottle size is small, so it runs out really quickly. Plus, I used to be lazy about doing full makeup, so I'd just apply a tone-up sunscreen and head to work on some days. But this product doesn't provide any brightening effect at all, which means I've had to do my full makeup routine every single day since I started using it.

While there are other decent products available, this one really stands out because it minimizes that heavy, greasy feeling that organic green tea sunscreens typically have. If you have oily, combination skin, I'd absolutely recommend giving this a try! I honestly didn't find any real drawbacks! That said, if you have particularly reactive or sensitive skin, you might want to skip organic green tea formulas altogether and go with an inorganic mineral sunscreen instead.

Recently, another sunscreen brand got caught up in false advertising controversy, so I looked this brand up too. Turns out they had suspected SPF misrepresentation back in 2021. Other companies apologized and offered refunds, but this brand just quietly discontinued the product without any explanation. That's pretty shady if you ask me. Even their toner changed—before it became popular, the texture felt different and they added fragrance to it. I'm using the entire The Lab Hyaluronic line and loved it so much that I decided to get their sunscreen too. It has this lightweight essence-like texture that feels refreshing and hydrating without any heaviness. It doesn't irritate my skin, but it does make my eyes sting a bit, which is disappointing. I have sensitive skin and was only using mineral sunscreen, but it didn't work well with my foundation. By chance, a friend introduced me to The Lab by Blanc Doux, and it completely changed my routine. I realized the whiteheads were caused by my old sunscreen. After switching, the whiteheads disappeared, and the formula blends beautifully with my foundation. It's been such a game-changer for my skin that I recommend it to everyone. Everyone who's tried it loves it too. This sunscreen is so gentle that it truly delivers both skin-soothing and UV protection at the same time. It's honestly one of the few sunscreens I could confidently use even when my skin was acting up and prone to breakouts. The application is smooth and effortless, and it doesn't leave a greasy residue, so I was able to wear it comfortably all the way through summer. Even though it has a cream texture, it applies lightweight and thin, which I really appreciated. There is a slight whitening effect, so you'll need to adjust the amount if you're planning to apply it before makeup. Even when I layered it multiple times, there was barely any pilling, so it's great for reapplying throughout the day.

When I apply it before makeup, my base goes on so much better and my complexion looks absolutely flawless, so it works perfectly as a primer too. The formula is gentle enough that I can use it even on my most sensitive days without any issues. I'm already on my fourth repurchase because this is genuinely my holy grail product. The only downside is that it doesn't really offer brightening or skin tone evening effects, and the size is pretty small so you go through it quickly. If you want to apply it generously every day, you might feel like the amount isn't quite enough. The texture feels incredibly hydrating and lightweight without any greasy residue. I think this would work beautifully for every skin type! I honestly can't think of any real downsides! If I had to nitpick, the product amount seems a bit modest for the price.

I honestly couldn't find anything disappointing about this product. It's great to use when applying makeup if you have oily skin.
