Light and refreshing - perfect for summer! I'd definitely recommend it for the warm season. It's not ideal for other seasons, so I couldn't really use it much. Then when summer came around again, it felt a bit off, so I ended up not using it.

There is silicone in there, but it's quite far down the list. Dimethicone is present in higher amounts, but since I'm not using it every single day, I'm comfortable with that trade-off. The formula feels too lightweight for winter use. It works best when applied before bed. The spreadability is definitely thanks to the dimethicone content. As soon as you apply it, you can feel that silicone texture. So if you're someone who avoids dimethicone, skip this one. I have quite sensitive and very dry skin, and I'm really impressed with how smoothly this product applies and how quickly it absorbs. The hydration level is absolutely fantastic, and I genuinely recommend it to everyone! Everything about it is satisfying, but I wish the price were just a bit more affordable.

I even wondered if it might feel like a brightening cream or a moisture cream instead, but honestly, my first impression was that the scent and formula matched the hydrating essence about 98 percent. I applied it to my cheeks, forehead, bridge of nose, and chin using about half the amount I'd normally use, and I found that gently patting it in works so much better for absorption than rolling it on. While the hydrating essence felt slippery at first, this one feels: 1. Really moisturizing. 2. Genuinely hydrating. 3. Silky smooth. 4. The initial absorption takes a bit longer, but after about twenty gentle pats, it gives you that gorgeous dewy glow. And an hour after applying, my drier cheeks and chin are completely absorbed while my forehead and nose bridge still have a bit of that dewy feel. I'll admit the basic hydration level is way better than your typical brightening cream. That said, if you're new to this type of formula or if you're like me—dry skin but wanting a slightly matte finish—this might not be the instant love at first sight kind of product for you. Honestly, I prefer a formula that feels a bit more textured or tacky, like a brightening cream. Since dimethicone is listed second in the ingredients just like in the hydrating essence, it doesn't absorb well for me and causes breakouts.
