It's definitely not a lightweight formula—it's actually a bit tacky, which means the hydration lasts longer. Honestly, the pigment is so gorgeous and buildable that you won't even need a separate tint. The color payoff is seriously impressive! I also love that the brand thought about protecting lips from UV damage, since sun exposure can lead to fine lines. The SPF protection built into this balm shows real attention to detail! This shade is a deep, cool mauve tone that sits perfectly between light undertones and winter darks. There's really only one issue, but it's a dealbreaker... there's literally no shade that works for light undertones. Honestly, all four shades just don't suit fair skin tones! Shades 1 and 4 are too bright and vivid, while 2 and 3 are clearly designed for muted undertones. Please give us a softer color option! I'm basically begging for a shade that actually works for light undertones. If you have a light undertone, you'll need to carry a white tone corrector with you. The formula is honestly way too dark and muddy on fair skin.
